no one expects from mingli or the demon lord to show mercy or be good it's like they were born to bring chaos on earth.
qian lu and specially feng qi are different, they re wolves in skin of sheeps.2 hypocrites which makes them more dangerous than any villain. death for someone like feng qi who repeatedly btrays them over oand over again is too good and too easy.
again the problem of c-dramas, no matter how many sins you've committed or how many people you've slaughtered, as long as you're friend or a family member one of the main leads (SPECIALLY FML) you're forgiven and we WILL trust you again

as a man I do like to cook don't get me wrong, because I know what I like and don't like but cooking for each other is showing that you care for them AND definitely another way to a mans heart is through his stomach no DOUBT:)

The story was good up untill last 5 eps BUT the ending really matters and they messed up

They told him do NOT change anything in past it may have consequences but he changes almost anything he comes in contact to and even changes the vessel for the villain to himself instead of fml, all of these and absolutely no consequence at all? Really??
She literally kills him he suddenly comes back to life as a new cat lord? It's so ridiculous that it's laughable
A very very weak and bad and rushed ending. It destroyed the drama for me
I had a major problem with FML for getting angry at ml in last eps too. he wanted to save his friends except for the leader others weren't evil or the didn't kill innocents on the contrary of her dear dear friend (the shu guy) they made mistakes but they didn't deserve death and ml thought they're gonna die if he doesn't recue them and you come and tell him you either choose them or me?
The casting and acting was every good especially fml in last episode in that emotional scene. it was truly touching

if her reason is what I think, it's toooo immature and idiotic
except if it was just a cover for her immortality and him being mortal or the secret about the real villain that can be acceptable to me

I like the overall of the drama but there is one scene I don't get:
I like him now. Even if we grow tired of each other one day, I can accept it. Life is long, life doesn't revolve around a husband.

look the logic behind those words is solid and true but the double standards is NOT. if you all are ok with FML saying something like that then IF ML says something like that (which in c-dramas and K-dramas it's IMPOSSIBLE) don't get triggered

I did quick research and it seems like what you said is true.
based on c-dramas that I've watched and performances of other actresses in similar roles her acting is not convincing for me, it's fake.
wish the best for her and I hope she grows more and more into a better actress FAST

both the character and the actress are bad.
I have served my military service I know what a general is like, no one is going to take lead from someone like her. even if I lower my standards from reality to the level of drama she still won't cut it. this is my criticism based on the character.
now my criticism on the actress herself, look this is a S+ drama, the project surely has cost A LOT. you can't say because she is a newbie we should cut her some slack, it doesn't work that way. there are MANY other talented young actresses who can do it if she can't. I will compare her to one of the top actresses if she didn't want to be compared to others then she shouldn't have participated in a S+ project. she is not suited for the role

the score is 8.8, when you see something like this it means you're gonna see a masterpiece, it's NOT.
I have two major issues with this drama:
1_ his sin is unforgivable. his mistake cost the life of thousands of people. there have been dramas about the mistakes of generals or emperors like this that the main leads want to exact revenge on them. I hope this all be a conspiracy against him(if it is pls someone spoil it for me) but doesn't seems like that. the the cost of his mistake is death penalty. sorry but it's true. a murderer who killed thousands of people can't be a male lead.
2_ the female lead in this drama has two problems:
first is that a woman can be a leader or general, SHE can't.
her character is too poorly written. I can NOT even imagine her lead a casual group for anything let alone being a general who's gonna command at least thousand men in war?? give me a break. the example of a female leader can be Zhao liying in legend of shen li. she is nowhere near her, not in the least.
second problem is that, she can't ACT. her acting is too fake. when she laughs specially her sadness and anger is fake. come on!!!
8.8 I don't believe this is the score for such a drama. even in terms of romance this is not good and it's not like I haven't seen romance dramas; on the contrary, I've seen a LOT.

for me chu Zhao hasn't gotten enough screen time yet. annoying characters I meant the medic friend of Xiao jue and the weakest of the new recruits. just hope they disappear soon.

nah I'm ok with cute comedy romance dramas, I didn't expect THIS ONE to be one of those if I lower my expectation which how you described it it seems that I should I can go through it. the drama just neeeeds to lose the annoying characters which highly doubt it would

I had HIGH expectations for the drama considering how everyone was talking about the long wait and good plot and then I saw the score 8.8 which is a LOT.
I'm on ep3, I see NOTHING worthy of all those talks and the score. she is too cute to be a general and I see signs of annoying characters and unnecessary comedy here and there which makes the drama lose its worth.
I KNOW it's too soon to judge so I hope it'll get better.
