one more question sang Yan is played by two different actors, although I like Bai Jing ting as an actor, I really liked SYs both character and actor in HL. has Bai Jing ting in this drama kept that personality or has he given SY a new altitude?

I didn't say he is not strong. I don't have a problem with his character I had a problem with the plot. in ep15 the plot got a little better for me. do you remember how fox clan feared him? that's the kinda thing that I was looking for. even Chang mei doesn't confront him head on. she is scheming BEHIND his back and is waiting for the right time. this is good. not like demon and immortals in nether city who would talk back to his girl right IN FRONT OF HIM and even go against him in open.
about them being equal in relationship you're right, what I had a problem with was the beginning of their relationship. I really don't understand how they fell for each other ( because of the reasons I mentioned in last replies) but that they have, I will close my eyes on their past and look forward to see how their gonna manage it.
(ep15 so far was the best EP for me both because of fox clan and Chong Zhao's sadness and him going on a killing spree. I feel like this is the kinda fresh blood that thos drama needed)

it's one thing to watch a fantasy and another thing to live in one, I'm like you too I can't tolerate injustice, but life is teaching me that I have to, otherwise... . I don't know old are you to say assertively you WILL challenge someone way more powerful than you, i wish you the best.
the ML in those dramas you mentioned weren't threats to humanity or killing the world, both of them had their own backstory.(TTEOTM ML if I remember correctly in first ep was a threat, the rest of the drama he was trying to atone for a crime he never committed)

when I think about it the only characters who were truly afraid FY were Fu ling and the turtle. you're right about them. but honestly the turtle is too insignificant for me to care about him (so far untill ep 14), Fu ling I'll give you that.
zhen yu is a demon king and you're right he is not far behind FY so it's ok for him to not be intimidated by him, I don't have a problem with that too.
as for your bread example, look if I'm an ant and my opponent is an elephant, no I don't have a problem with him stealing my bread. this is the exact situation between FY and eternals and demons in outlanders city. AND it wasn't their bread, BS earned the flowers rightfully and STILL they wanted to take the flowers even by force and again right in front of FY.
I'll say it again the immortals purpose was something else entirely (they had an entire city to rescue) but they just attacked FY instead.
for BS ok she has something which she can use to prevent FY from killing her. good. but does it mean from now on she can talk back to him in any opportunity she has?
if you know something which makes your boss doesn't fire you, you would do the same?
you see I don't call these loopholes I just call it weak plot

you defined aura as strength but I define aura as how others perceive you in this case how much those who aren't on his side are afraid of him I never compared his strength to anyone and he is strong no doubt about that.
I compared how much the ML is terrifying to others in these 2 dramas which seems like in this drama is not so much(pls read my next comment on the reply that another friend has left, it's too much to copy it here)

Fu ling and zhen yu weren't afraid of him IF they were, they wouldn't even fight him but they DID and of course when you're loosing a fight which could possibly cost your life you'd ran away.
the eternals are basically a bunch of old fools who don't dare to provoke anyone but even two of them when they went to the city to investigate the disease even though they KNEW the disease wasn't his doing and he was stronger instead of minding their own business and going their way they CHOSE to stay and fight him. and don't get me started on demons and eternals in the outlanders city:)) yes when he told them his real identity they backed down a bit BUT in EVERY possiblity they could find they would provoke Bai Shuo EVEN infont the big mighty fan yue. Bai Shuo kept saying the heart flowers belong to the bright moon palace but nobody really cared about her or her supporter.
let's move on to the next reason:
3_ this one is both about acting and plot:
Bai Luo she was one of my favorite actresses when I started watching Cdramas but now I feel like her acting is monotone. so much that in these 14 eps in ONE scene if I'm not mistaken she got excited and went above her usual I almost clapped for her. this is not good.
in the drama she is a HUMAN and he is the king of demons, the only thing she can depend on is the stone in her and I don't think she is more than 20. she is not in a place to act so rude in front of fan yue. another character who doesn't seem to be afraid of fan yue AT ALL is Bai shu herself in a time that they're not lovers yet.
talking about them being lovers I don't know how they even begin to fall for each other? as for fan yue it definitely wasn't love at first sight. could it be because of sympathy? but I'm sure he has seen many worst things in life than a girl loosing her father, so that's not it too. does he like that she keeps talking back to him? come on her attitude towards him is not even flirty. as a man myself I just saw him being jealous of Chong zhao and Bai Shuo and that's it. the only thing i saw in fan yue to say he like Bai Shuo is this. but is it enough? come on!!
for Bai Shuo it's a little more convincing because he couple of times saved her and he has a sh..y past so she is sympathizing with him maybe but again her rude behavior is keep bothering me I feel like someone keeps telling Bai Luo behind the scenes that in future you're gonna love this man calm down pls.

your first paragraph I agree with you, about the side characters too. they have been given time and it's a good thing.
the drama so far doesn't have loopholes it's just weak, two problem I have so far (AMONG OTHER problems)
1_ this is not a novel, this is not a book,
you can't keep saying a line over and over, you have to SHOW it to your viewers. I think I heard ' I want to walk my own path' maybe 14 or 15 times in these 13 episodes. this is not a positive point for a drama.
2_ the ML doesn't seem like scary to me. it seems like no one really is scared of him as the most powerful KING of demons. compare him to dongfang qing sang in love fairy and devil. now he was something else, the definition of aura, remember how EVERYBODY was afraid of him? did you see half of his superiority in fan yue?
these are just 2 of reasons why i didn't like it so far.

on some degree I agree with you, but there are some good rom dramas without those cringy plots too like 'when the weather is fine', 'gyeonsung creature', 'the trunk' etc. kdramas have fixed hotheaded fan based who as long as the drama has a handsome or famous actor/actress they don't care about the quality. those people are the ones who gave a drama like 'king the land' high scores on MDL. if you fix the image of kdramas worldwide with creating good dramas without cringy plots I doubt that even those people wouldn't like it.

yes it's a romance drama, but they don't need fate to brings them together over and over and over again. they have to CHOOSE each other and believe and rely on in each other, and in the end they have stick to their choice untill the end. this will be a beautiful romance drama. it doesn't have to be fate, but just a good plot for 2 ordinary human who like each other in ups and downs of life.
one of the reasons that today people make fun of kdramas is because of fate and those cringy accidents

unfortunately I do

the drama has been good up untill ep8 PLEASE don't ruin it with something so cringy and predictable as her father save him form fire and then died. don't let it be one of those kdrama.
for now two people who didn't like each other have ACCIDENTALLY become coworkers and ACCIDENTALLY have mutual friends if I'm right about that father plot then this drama will loose it's value for me

in EP 4 tang hao told tang sun that you're at soul douluo lvl, in EP 5 he told him you've reached lvl 50 now it's time to go for your fifth ring, what is going on here if he is at soul douluo lvl, then he is definitely far beyond lvl 50, unless there is a loophole in the story

(No spoiler) I just finished the drama.
I always thought the ending of a drama is very important, so much that if a drama is good but the ending was done poorly then the entire drama( in my opinion) is bad, and vice versa.
This drama proved me right. before the last 2 episodes I had some critism about the drama. now i don't even care about them. The kid , I admit i didn't like him, BUT from the last 10 episodes he KILLED it and in the last 2 episodes he was simply great.
The ending of this drama is THE most perfect ending of any cdrama AND kdramas that I've ever seen and believe me when I say I've seen many dramas, TOO MANY.
I enjoyed this, the brotherhood of male leads, the love plot, the pureness of Wen Xiao, the bravery of Zhuo Yi Chen and the experience and knowledge of Zhao Yuanchuan all of it was fantastic.

I'm in the middle of the drama, the kid is too loud and annoying, even if he is not a burden and is actually helping he is still annoying. his acting is not good enough for a show with in this scale

no no you didn't understand my sentence, I have watched Lucy's dramas before, this is the first that I'm tired of her drama and just want it to end sooner
I agree with you, I think she isn't suited for that kinda character, at least not here
