after what happened to her before she went into coma, she already realised that zyl didnt actually love her, he loved her because zyl think she was his first love, then follow the events happened before that she remembered in her past, even zxw also will fall in love with mo yuan later on, she recreated the event of zyl birthday so she could get out of their love equation to change the way things gonna end. I dont think hq doesnt love zxw at all, otherwise why would she kept his medicine in her pouch all along until she felt really dissapointed with the lord for doing things the way he wanted it to be ( selfishly) for his own sake not for her sake. I also accept the fact that she has the right to be angry because the zxw has kept secret the real murderer of her brother. to me this all are just big of misunderstandings, they never really communicate well, their relationships started with “pride and prejudice “. HQ never from the start believes in him, what he did was ambiguous until later when he expressed his feeling, she was at the most down situation of her life, she lost her brother and realise she has become a target of the murder, and yet the lord has tried to hide the facts from her until he was confronted, he was unprepared to answer, he had plans to keep her safe but we are not sure also how the plans gonna work out since she messed up the plan in the banquet. this all is happened in her dream. her prejudices towards everyone except her family and body guard who didn’t exist in her past. she completely regards everyone else as her “enemies” without good intentions towards her, because she knew she was evil and bad before, no one would like her at all. I believe this is where zxw stands he’s gonna be the one and only person in the world who’s willing to accept her the way she is, whether she is evil, bad, kind, good, he loves her for the way she is. also dont forget bodyguard’s care, love and protection towards her its because he sees her as someone who has saved him many times, did he know how evil she was before? what he did to ppl who are evil and bad? kill them. thats why I’m not supporting her and the bodyguard.her ex husband zyl, he is different towards her this time because she has changed. when she was still in her past attitude, he kicked her out of of the house and divorced her (ep1).I still dont know also how this drama gonna ends, but this is just my pov why I root for the zxw the male lead. please 3 of them are equally good looking though I admit, zxw is the most good looking one.

his character is described as what FL wants her to be in “the dream”. whats fl thinks is gonna be right to change her destiny, she keeps rejecting him. to be honest hq is also selfish too for always wanting everything to be the way she wants it to be disregarding how much zxw loves her since the beginning and had did everything for her in the way he thinks is right for her. I saw an interview of wyx and zy, he said zxw is pitiful because hq doesnt care about him but care more about herself, he said their relationship its like its ended even before it started.

I think HQ didnt know in her past that the lord loves her, even in her dream she still thinks the lord actually like MY, she passed out already when the lord (I assume the man on the horse with 2 men) reached her. so maybe she doesnt even realised it was the lord who has saved her when she is in her coma. she is yet to see how much the lord loves her in reality life.

her brother not supposed to die, but die because he protected her from being stabbed, since she woke up she’s been trying to change everyone in her family including her brother, till before her brother die, she still thinks her brother is useless and only brings trouble, until he die protecting her, then she realised how her brother care for her and willing to die to protect her, it could be one of her wishes to be able to see her brother goodness in her dream state/ she’s longing for someone to care for her and so in the dream she sees that her brother is actually care for her so much that he’s willing to die for her, I dont know this is just my assumption why her brother still die even in her dream. seeing how many bad things her brother did, this should be his redemption otherwise how he supposed to be punished for the bad things he did. just my thinking 🤔

yes it has been hinted from the 1st episode when she vomit blood and fell to the ground and there was voice saying “if you are give second chance would you change it?” it was the zxw voice and it was him I think on the horse running with 2 other men to the location of the fl where she was unconscious after she vomited blood… next scene is the red porcelain with scent filling up a room, then she woke up 2 years prior her present time… then she started to change her and her family destiny…. no one else could smell the scent that she inhales from time to time except for her bodyguard whom she hasnt seen before in her previous life..

oh thank you for your explanation, it seems many ppl dont like him, I’ve been wondering myself about the direction of his production, someone mention his halfway later productions usually end in coordinated chaos n favourable characters end up in terrible ending. I only watched one of his production and I was satisfied with the plot and ending of the drama. hopefully he doesnt mess up this one then..

why? I have read also about yu zheng production. I have watched the story on yanxi palace, it has good ending, what happen to yu zheng other productions?

exactly everyone been saying that we complain too much about ML (the lord) screen time, while I think not much screen time given to see his pov and how much he actually loves the FL and has done so much for the FL since the beginning of this drama. I have rewatched ep 1 while FL was chased and captured by many guards and fell on the ground, then we see 3 men on horse approaching where the FL is and there was a voice if you are give a second chance would you change what you did? it was the ML (lord) voice and then there was the scent filling up the room then next scene she was back to the day of her wedding day. at that time she was still thinking all her families had died because of what she did before, then the story starts 2 years prior her present time.
if I want to guess its actually the lord who has love her since the beginning even when she was still an evil and manipulative person, otherwise why would he hurry to save her then?
the novel and the drama has different title, suggesting scent of time which might be a dream/coma because of the effect of the scent that she always feel she smells when others dont. this is not reality, this is in her dreams and what she wants it to be, she tried to make amends and change what she used to be, to become a better person, maybe thats why the lord doesnt have much screen time, because she doesn’t know how much the lord loves her yet. everything is told from her pov and what she thinks its right to change her family destiny, but doesnt mean everything she’s done is right (when confront with the lord) cause she doesnt know what the lord thinking, she told him herself (ep24). lord might have plan which we dont know yet. why blaming the ML when we dont know the reason of his actions? infact I feel the pity one is the lord, he loves her so much but yet, she cant feel his love ( but chemistry is great between ML and FL interactions) they are great actor and actress, they have to present this feeling to us, since lord screen time is limited.
I cant feel chemistry between FL and bodyguard, its just like sibling, someone protective and care to FL, someone whom FL feels never have in her life, so she feels grateful to what he has done for her, thats all.
only remaining 6 episodes left and I also wonder how it will end, as always expected from CDrama, this will end in a rush, since we yet to see the ML and FL together. FL still angry with the lord until ep 25 I think, not knowing what he has actually done for her all this time.
I pity the ML sacrifice and love for her but we all just cant see it yet.
I saw the actor interview in YT he says his character is actually pitiful and miserable.

Its not hurting me in anyway baby, poster is just a clue to what the drama is all about, lost you forever, the poster of yang zi and her 4 suitors around her, exactly what the drama is all about. I’m nobody, mysterious lotus casebook, the blood of youth are not romance drama, and I like them all, the poster are appropriately showing us what the drama is all about, back from the brink, one and only, the story of yanxi palace (one of the producer’s works) are showing appropriate poster for the drama.
when I watch a drama, it would depend on my mood, whether feeling like romance drama, detective drama, palace drama, whatever it is, I would come here to check what kind of genre I want to watch this time.
I enjoy watching this drama no matter what. I just yet to see the significant of the drama poster to the whole story of this drama.

oh my is this your first time seeing a movie/ drama? this drama has romance tag, if this is not a romance drama but about only about the FL story, fine, then use girl/woman empowerment, self growth tag instead, and some ppl will be watching it accordingly to what genre it says here in MDL.

then take out all the drama poster and replace it with the FL ALONE on the picture. :D

my thoughts exactly! out of 21 episodes I have watched, I can only remember maybe most 5/6 scenes of ZXW and HQ? definetely not every episode, I saw the drama poster, of him and FL only, I swear if she doesnt end up with him, this drama really misleading all viewers to watch this drama.
I’m trying to accept this, because given her situation as someone else wife, so it’s inappropriate to be with the lord often. But I have passed their divorce, saw 3 episodes after the divorce without seeing HQ and ZXW together in the same screen…. I’m worry about what the ending gonna be if this is the case.
Might as well have a poster of the female lead alone or together with all the male leads and MY also, since even her got more screen times then ZXW.

considering there’s not much scenes between ML and FL, if its not gonna be HE, then what the….the meaning of this drama poster with ML and FL picture is all about? one cant hardly tell without the drama picture or list of main leads in MDL that zhong xi wu is actually the ML, I have binged watching this in 2 days until ep 21, though my initial plan to take this one easy since its ongoing drama, but I’m so addicted to this drama so far, pls forbid this drama from getting BE or OE, I’m begging u producer of this dramaa plsss…..

I agree with u, the leads acting is really really good, considering this is the 1st time drama for the actor Jun as the main male lead, he totally delivered his acting performance! their chemistry is sweet, natural and top notch convincing. I dont get it when some ppl says the male lead cant act lol, what do they expect? this is a lighthearted drama no need super duper excessive expression acting, this is not a heavy plot anguish driven drama, take it easy lol. the FL has acted in similar drama WFTY she did well in both dramas it suits her character. I really enjoy watching this drama, the one that can boost my mood during my boring days without need to stress when watching it.

considering this is the 1st time drama for the ML, he already delivered a great performance as LC, with great chemistry with the FL, give the man a break, he’s even on par with a superstar A list actor who has acted in many2 dramas (not gonna says his name here) lol. what I can say I enjoy watching this drama n not affected by the ML performance at all.

I’m so piss off right now, with stupid female lead again, yet she’s the one who survives, after those unbelievable last 3 episodes this one ends unnecessarily disappointing to the max. I have survived watching circle of love, my everlasting bride, this one is the worst out of them all, not even gonna start watching bride’s revenge because it has exactly the same 3 leads with reverse ML. Awful terrible ending worst rating I’ve ever given to a drama.

the male lead is not a demon, he just has his 7 emotions taken out so he’s fearless emotionless person, slowly he will fall in love with the female lead who’s kind, innocent and pure, he’s definetely very likeable, I’m looking for another drama who has this kind of male lead characteristic now.
this my new masterpiece drama along with back from the brink.
