I'm midway through the first episode and bored because I don't feel the chemistry and can't take the show seriously.…
I just finished the episode. After Fei's "death", I am surprised by how stoic Mr. Hui is. I don't know if it's just the actor or the character, but boy, I don't feel the sadness. And not five minutes after Fei's "death", he comes back face-to-face with Mr. Hui. Really?? They didn't play with that plot point at all. It feels rushed.
I will watch the last available episode so I know the context better. Maybe things will make more sense thing.
I'm midway through the first episode and bored because I don't feel the chemistry and can't take the show seriously. I will explain.
I wasn't fond of the way they first met. When Mr. Hui fell down next to Fei after being stabbed, they literally locked eyes for 10 plus seconds, already lovestruck. The whole time I was like, dude, love should be the last thing on your mind. You just got stabbed!! Next thing you know, the bad guys find them and Mr. Hui, no longer in any pain, fights them alongside Fei. It is as though they've known each other for years, a ride or die pair. How do the writers expect me to take this story seriously??
A bit after the fight, they are sitting next to each other in seclusion. After cleaning each others' wounds, Fei wants to kiss Mr. Hui but Mr. Hui denies. That is understandable. They just met. But their next scene together, they are already kissing and making out. What??? Is Mr. Hui bipolar?
I don't know. I will try to finish the episode, but it might just not be for me. I guess I just feel like they have no chemistry but are already making out. I can't wrap my head around that. At least Mr. Hui says he and Fei aren't together outside of the bedroom... That makes it a little more realistic.
those who haven’t read, just wanna give a friendly non-spoiler warning, watch attentively both storylines, like…
I am so confused by reading your comment, and even more excited to see how it ends. I can't fathom such a twist that will make me that shocked. Is someone not who they seem? What could the twist possibly be? 😳
I don't hate the brother either. Also, I completely agree with everything you are saying. I just read a comment saying that the brothers should marry because they are super annoying. The way my mouth dropped. Are we watching the same show? Who knows, maybe that person just isn't caught up to the most recent episode. Yichen is by every means the victim. Lu Feng is a sociopath. He abuses, rapes, drugs, and kidnaps Yichen, and in the end? He still thinks he deserves Yichen. Even when he was in a coma for 3 months, he told Yichen that if he were to wake up, they would never be apart again. Like, where is this monsters head at??
He never would have imagined lu feng would do that to him
I know, I can't believe people are defending him. I've heard people say that they felt bad for Feng Yu while he was expressing his feelings (aka being manipulating and victimizing himself) while he was literally RAPING Yi Chen. These people are crazy and concern me. Some will argue that it's okay because it's fiction. That's just a bull excuse for their toxic fetishes. Ugh.
mc gets r*ped TWO TIMES by ml, first few eps are cringy asf, acting is not very good, but i can see improvment…
Yeah, I think it's pretty messed up that the mc rapes the ml twice, let alone once. As for the acting, I think the chen actor isn't very good at and also looks too young for the part, especially when coupled with Feng.
This is all just my opinion. It drives me nuts when people here don't agree with you and resort to calling you 'too young' to try to invalidate your opinion. We are all entitled to our own thoughts and have every right to comment them on this public platform. We should be able to have a respectful conversation without being bullied. If anything, it seems like they are the 'too young' ones for not being able to accept our opinions.
Did you even watch or just came here to spread hate
I 100% agree! It drives me nuts when people say that only fans should comment and to not watch if you don't like it. Well, what if you did watch some episodes and want to share how you feel about the show? You should totally be able to without being bashed by fans. We all have different opinions and that is perfectly fine. :)
Realistically 5? And bad acting? Are you sure you watched the show? If their acting was so bad, how could you…
Yeah, I loved the acting by the one who played Shulang, but I admit that the only time I was wowed by Fan Xiao's acting was the bathroom scene in episode 14. And even then, the actor himself said that it took him an hour to act it out because he wasn't portraying his character well enough. The Shulang actor, however, was able to promptly get into character. I'm not saying Fan Xiao's actor is bad. I'm just saying that he gives just enough emotion for me to be convinced of his acting, if that makes sense.
Having said that, I still love the show because I don't think about it. Moreover, I love who was casted and am fully looking forward to the special episode. : )

Well, we are all entitled to our own opinion. I personally rated it a 10 and think the acting is great. This is also my favorite Asian show so far, but I also know that everyone on earth doesn't have the exact same perceptive. That is the beauty about life. We aren't all duplicates of each other.
