Top of the reason is LXY is supposed to be dead. The most people can do when he turned up is "suspect" there's someone who looks like him. Hence the need to test him.
LLH was not the first person. Bai court and BYQ have tested other people before LLH. Safe to assume there are other people resembling LXY before.
And it was supposed to be 10 years after. People's feature changes in 10 years. It's a premise i accepted for this drama. In reality of course it's not 10 years.
The sect kinda recognise LLH, they see the resemblance. So it wasnt a total "blind"ness.
Even FXB almost recognise LLH from the painting when he says, from the back he looks like his master.

I dont usually comment, I do ask questions from time to time (once in a blue moon). One thing I notice is MLC's comment section, so many people made first time comment, they registered just to be able to say they like MLC so much.

IKR. It was perfect HE. DFS, FXB and LLH, living a simple life at Lotus Tower. And that last scene, DFS and FXB taking care of the enemy while LLH drink his wine leisurely.
