I love MLC is not a romance drama. There's one thing I hate about romance drama, the noble idiocy time, where they break up for some noble reason or one of them believes it was the right thing to do. I always hated that part. To make up, they have to break up first. Some of the reasons to me are super idiotic, that I dropped the drama completely.

Screenwriter did an amazing job, I like the logical ways of things in MLC. Since it divert from the novel, hence the screenwriter plays a big part by changing things up.

People change, and their characters grow up. But the core of the person stays. The dialogues, the comedic scenes, not trying too hard to be funny, but hilarious anyway. LXY and LLH is like two different people. But inside, a caring person, a kind person didnt change. FXB always stay true to his character, as he matures. Even after all SGD did, he is a fillial son, SGD was bad, but FXB was brought up loved, so it hit him just as hard when SGD died. DFS never cared about anything other then striving to be the best in the martial world. But the true upright man inside him blossoms among friends who cares about him. A Fei!

Like the bridal chamber scene, I still laugh every time I watch it. Or when the classical fight scene over that piece of chicken. LLH watching the 2 fights over the one meal he didn't cook. His pride and joy in culinary skills, he kept telling everyone how good of a cook he is. And yet FXB and DFS fought seriously to prove how bad his cooking really is.

As much as I love our trio, it needs a logical setup to bring them together. LLH and FXB can be easily explained, but to have DFS with them, it needs some clever situation setup moment. DFS was made to lose his memory, but not your typical hit in the head memory lost, but poisoned and the effect is causing his memory loss. Well written.

I miss MLC. LLH come and lie to me! I'll believe anything you say!

The purpose of that scene was to establish LLH deducting powers. Not his inner powers. He deduct the butcher was having an affair from the way he smell, etc. Plus, inner power can only cure certain illnesses. A common cold, a tummy ache, etc, i dont think inner power would do any good. A tap on the back, to me feels more like he cracked his back. Or he aligned his broken bones more than anything. Honestly i dont see how inner powers can be used to heal broken bones.

I think a bad back from a beating do not require an inner power to cure. Definitely not an inner power as strong as yangzhouman.
