thats why i have really defended him .there are people who just dislike him for the fact that as an idol newbie…
Thank you for your update. I really appreciate that. It sounds like he has loving and sensible parents and he grew up in a wonderful family. In fact, I think a lot of his good look came with his smile. His smile looks like he was shown a lot of love and kindness. He has good genes on his facial features for sure, but that smile came with a lot of love, from someone with good balanced emotion. We need more people like that in the media to spread good vibes. I really think the haters are defeating themselves by hating. It is not helping them at all. Instead of spending energy on hating and attacking someone else, they better off spending time improving themselves, repackaging themselves, and pursuing peace and harmony within and outside themselves. Who wants to hang out with people who are hateful? Who want to watch people who are hateful to perform? The audience can feel the vibes that come out of a person.

From the way CEW carries himself, and how he interacts with other people, I can tell his parents did a wonderful job in raising him. However, may I suggest that his parents speaking blessings into his life instead of speaking negative words over him? If I am being too forward in writing this, I ask for forgiveness. I am not sure if the YouTube translation is correct, during one of the interviews, CEW said that his mother called him ugly when he was growing up. I understand that she meant well for the reasons that I listed above, however negative words are negative. A lot of parents don’t understand how impactful their words are on their children. Negative words they speak over their children may become curses. I hope that CEW’s parents speak blessings and destiny into his life instead. So many people hate CEW already. I don’t think his parents need to join force with these people to come against their son that way. In fact I hope that ALL parents speak blessings and destiny into their children’s lives. Look at how Yi Rim was so devastated when his ‘father’ could not say anything nice to him. (I know, this is a drastic example.) Anyway, if I have gotten the wrong idea and misinterpreted what CEW said, I apologize. Since I have been studying on the subject of blessings and curses for a while, I feel the obligation to point it out.
I want to give special recognition to the musicians who support the drama. I know a lot of people already expressed their love for the OSTs. However the background music that has been showcasing the mood of each scene and the personality of the characters has been phenomenal. I notice how carefully the cello has been used to show the sad mood, guitar has been used to support the lighter, happier scenes while it gives the scene some contemporary feel etc etc. Every single line of music is so very well coordinated with everything in the drama. I don’t know if every single Korean historical drama is like that. I am just very very impressed!

I appreciate how the Astro members love and support CEW. What a wonderful group of young men! I am not their fan, but I love them already. Their brotherhood is so precious. I wish all of them success in life! Sometimes I feel very concerned for Cha Eun Woo when I see how many people kept commenting on his good looks and how girls comment that they fall for him. I know someone whose good look caused girls to fall for him left and right. He always told me how harmful it was that people kept commenting on his good look. Being handsome can be a blessing or a curse depending on how the person stewards it. It might also mean that he may have more temptations presented to him. His decisions to these things will play a big role in determining how he may protect his future marriage and family life, and how stable his emotional life will be. To me, the stability of an artist’s emotional life can affect the quality of work he produces. I am not saying his work is more important than his future family. I am saying that all these things tie together. On the other hand, if he makes good choices and steward his gifts well, he can make some major positive impact in people’s lives. Movies and songs are very powerful media that can speak to people’s heart.
I had to drop this drama because the story and acting were getting really bad. The drama was interesting up to…
To each it’s own. Maybe you like the other genre better? May be you don’t like the dramatic part? Perhaps you may like a tamer romantic comedy instead? Quite a number of us feel the opposite though. I don’t think I’m biased because I never saw these actors before, except that I came across Cha Eun Woo in some YouTube videos for his previous TV drama. Believe me. I am pretty picky in what I watch. I don’t usually see movies nor watch tv for that reason. For me to feel so strongly that I join a chat like this is a big deal!
Spoiler plz! I'm holding out to watch until it ends but I want to know what is going on hahahaha....I need a HEA
May I suggest that you go ahead and watch the episodes now. I am very happy and satisfied after I watched them. Now I am excited to lookforward to the final episodes next week. At the mean time, I am enjoying myself digesting the storylines.
MIND. BLOWN. She remembers everything. She knew the whole time!
Now it makes extra sense why the King was so mad when Yi Rim came back from the mission, having eradicated the disease. If variolation was one of the reasons the king justified himself for sentencing his own brother to death, and to kill all those scholars, then the accomplishment of Yi Rim from the mission just proved to the king that he was completely guilty on what he did. (By the way, FYI in real life vaccines do not cure people like that.
I think those negative criticism for Cha Eun Woo may be called “finding chicken bones in an egg”. I read some of them. They are neither realistic nor constructive. I would ignore them if I were you. I think Cha Eun Woo made amazing progress as an actor. He has convinced me that there is a young prince called Yi Rim. That is excellent! I know he will continue to get even better and better as an actor as times goes by.
It happens a lot with Shin Se Kyung's works (and sometimes with Cha Eun Woo too), instant low rating even before…
Ah, so it may be what I think it is. Anyway, so it is not that CEW or the Astro did something horrible to hurt these people. It sounds like there probably people who hate just for the sake of hating. I sure hope that they will let go of these negative emotions ASAP, before they get sick or something bad happen to them. By the Law of Attraction, negatives draws negatives. What they are doing (if indeed they are doing it) is not helping anyone, especially themselves. Even if someone truly wronged them, it will be to their benefits to forgive, let go and move on.

I am sorry. I still don’t make the connection. Why would people hate CEW just because he is also a singer/ dancer/musician/idol and a part of the boy group ASTRO? I know that every member of ASTRO is very good looking, talented and nice. I am not Korean obviously. Will you please kindly help me understand?

Will you please explain your last sentence? I’m not sure I understand it. Is it a thing in Korea that fans can ‘hate’ an actor? For what reason? What do you mean by ‘from the idol side?’ CEW is only a nice young man who is working very hard on a project.
It is very inspiring to see how everyone gets along, care for each other and have fun. The positive energy radiates out. I think the audience feel it as well. They have a good time and so do we. I am saying that because I don’t see that happening in many other movies or shows, including those from Hollywood. I love the fact that the language is very clean as well. (No F words. Thank you.) Maybe that is why I am so surprised that I come across this drama. Way to go! Keep up with the excellent work!
The fact that the female lead Shin Se Kyung was willing to lay down the comparison of appearances seem to really help her chemistry with the young actor. Once comparisons, insecurities, competition etc are out of the way, it just makes it easier for the chemistry to flow. It makes sense that Cha Eun Woo seems to be having a great time in this show (I am not saying he was having a hard time in the previous ones though.) By the way, she is very beautiful in her own right.
It is no wonder the improvement on Cha Eun Woo’s acting is so impressive! The BTS 1 Video showed how Sung Ji Ru, the actor who played the eunuch Heo Sam Bo, was helping Cha Eun Woo with his acting. He looked so cute and adorable. Obviously Shin Se Kyung has been helping Cha Eun Woo too (He said it during an interview). It is a very robust environment for him to learn from everyone. (Of course, Cha Eun Woo is obviously a bright and fast learner too!)
As I look at the BTS videos from youtube, I realize what a wonderful job that the producer/director has been doing. He is doing a very beautiful job in setting the tone and overseeing everything. Of course, everyone contribute their ideas. It is so much fun to watch them create the scenes together. This is an amazing team of people! I have been reviewing the past scenes. Overall the drama has carried an upbeat, humorous tone while touching on many serious issues. I understand that all the plot bombs have to be set off now. That is the climax of the show. But I sure hope that after all the explosions, the drama can still return to the upbeat, humorous, hopeful tone. A tragic ending will be very very inappropriate.
I really think that Song Sa Hee AND the Second Councilman should be held accountable for what they do. How can Sa Hee still supply information to the Second Councilman? She has betrayed the historians, the CP, the lead couple and the country.
