okay, this'll be my last reply. i'm sorry for thinking you were doing it on purpose to start a fight, it just really started to seem that way. you were coming across as belligerent, but I think we all may misunderstand tone in text sometimes, so i should have tried to give you the benefit of the doubt.

I have actively been searching for things with no romance for years and they are incredibly rare. you probably just don't notice it as much because it's in everything, so it's normal to you. and no, shows with romantic relationships that don't focus on it don't count. that's still romance, even if it isn't the most important part. it's still guys and girls not being able to exist together without dating. i'm saying i don't want any romance at all, at least with the characters that matter. like i don't care if some guy at the grocery store with two lines has a girlfriend.
can you name five good shows off the top of your head where guys and girls are just friends, and no one has a crush on anyone or hints at a relationship or anything?

because not everything needs to have romance in it. but most things do, specifically straight romance. even if the shows don't have a romance tag, they usually have straight romance in them, like they're shoving it down our throats.

You're putting words in people's mouths and missing the point. first of all, bl is about gay romance. that does in fact have to do with sexual orientation. did you not know that's what bl is? second, she didn't say only straight and bl stuff exists, she was just trying to draw a distinction in genre. no, not everything that isn't bl is straight, but did you want her to individually list every single thing? there's barely any lesbian stuff or stuff with zero romance out there. MOST media is straight. almost all non-gay media has straight romance in it. even if you don't want to believe that, it's an easily proven fact.
