Tbh when you don't like something at all within 5 minutes it's rare that you get to enjoy it afterward. Especially thai drama are product in one go scripted the same and shooted the same so it rarely totaly change direction midway.

It's not a never but let's face the truth usually you get pretty quickly if it'll will be your jam, if you can give it a chance or if it will be a "no can do"

It's actually the wish that is the starting point.

It's also a reflexion on how sometimes you think you can have things easy by not being accountable you feel like the weight of all your mistake or actions wouldn't be so heavy ... that's what the wish first gives but also comes with you losing yourself. Your mistakes are part of what you are and is not something that would prevent people who truly love you to love you ...

For Wan Zhe the have it easy is being loved without giving anything back and even sometimes taking advantage of that person who loves you. But that's not love since you forced the person feeling through a wish without building anything.

The wish is very relevant actually for the deeper meaning of the drama. You have the romance on the surface but all the things you do come back to you ... is a deeper layer.
ANd if you think it's about many characters who are not exactly what they are showing ...

It's a good scenario so far I'm totally ouching for it !
Hope it helps you to get the purpose of the wish part in the story.
