This series is a joke, I'm of a strong believe that all of this would have ended as a simple high school crush for yichen if lufeng never acted on it. Almost everything was forceful right from the beginning, their literal first time was forceful, yichen feelings/opinion has never mattered to him right from the beginning, like why??? And if you think otherwise about their first time together, then I got news for you(and it ain't a good one). "I kidnapped you, raped you, disrespected and humiliated you" but heyyyyyyy let's give them happy ending and blame all that on mental illness(bipolar disorder, which is actually very disrespectful to actual people with this condition). The whole storyline is just one big Wattpad coded trash and the adaptation a cheap garbage. Not even the acting was doing it for me, an open ending would've have been a lot better here, but I will sure give them credits for one thing, their kisses were good, so far one of the best kisses I have seen from cbl(main couple) and I quite liked one of the cast(Qinlang). You can give "Lost to you" a watch, is an ongoing cbl and pretty decent(if you ignore the doctor cast and his stiff terrific acting💀😭). Or "A winter sun wakes the wind in spring hills' dream", this one I'm completely obsessed with because it is so fucking goodddddd with just 4eps out!. So many things I want to say about double helix but yeah I'm out. Let's leave it at this. A solid 5/10 rating and that's me being generous.
My God what is this!!??!The soundtrack, location/scenery, perfect cast and acting, beautiful cinematography and storyline. Genuinely the best cbl I've seen with just 4eps, hell the best cbl I've seen so far(literal perfection, or maybe I'm just a lover of nature and such story/romance kinda resonate with me😂). Now I need to watch secrets happened in litchi island, because I heard it is from the same director/production. Crazy how I only knew about this drama just yesterday(came across the trailer on YT and decided to give it a try). Glad I decided to give it a watch.
How does a young teen confide in you as an adult and the best thing you could do is take advantage of that kids vulnerability????? groomed and led this young boy astray, your friend's(crush) lil brother????!!! something that isn't supposed to happen at all!!!! it's clear as day that he was a minor while the other party was a grown ass man!!!! Worse, the made the victim apologize, making it seem like it was his fault????!??, even made the pedophile look like some typa hero, are we fucking serious????? not once did the paint that man in a bad light or deemed his actions completely wrong/predatory, atleast letting the audience especially the youngins know that such actions/behavior from an adult isn't okay!!!, my God I never knew this was going to rile me up this much. This was supposed to be a beautiful drama but this genuinely ruined it for me. This is why we can't trust adults with kids anymore, and I genuinely wish you nothing good if you are that type of adult IRL, or the one defending said type of adults, or even normalizing such acts!!! 5/10 rating
