If u like story of minglan, u definitely will love this drama 😁 But it will be a lot of political intrigue n war than minglan. And what i like, even this is an idol drama, but the relationship is really healthy n mature in time. There is no cheesy romance but u can still feel butterfly in ur stomach lol

Note : after u watch destined, i highly recommend the dream of splendor next. The cinematography vibes will remind u with nif, there is no scene that will make u bored. The plot is great and both of ML n FL is smart af n compliment each others to solve their case. One of the best drama i ever watch ❤❤ but if u want save the best for the last, u can watch other dramas that i recommend first (all characters is smart n skillfull of ML n FL, with intense political intrigue n strategy battle between the heroes with the antagonist, n some of tragic events. Except starry night lol starry of night i only like the characters) then the dream of splendor will be the cherry on top of the cake :p

Btw, i just realized, the one who play as Nanyi on this drama is the ML on destinied lol...so u can trust his acting :D destinied is one of highest drama rating this year. The genre is similiar with the story of minglan, slice of life with political intrigue.

Imperial doctress, the sword n the brocade, alliance advisor, Luoyang, all the ml is veteran an experience actor just like Ning Yi n Hu Ge. So it's not an idol drama where the actor not just have pretty face but also have a great acting that make u absorb with their character. (u can check who is the actor on dramalist). Destinied even the ml is not veteran yet like others 3 dramas that i mentioned, but he is one of promised young actor. And what i like is the plot of drama, a smart n unpredictable ml (also the fl). Jin jiu ling and the romance of twin flower beside i like the plot, a point plus for me is the FL lol (she is fl on goodbye my princess, i like aher a lot after that drama). Court lady is an idol drama, but even at started it was seems light n youthful drama, but later will become more intense, serious n dark (it's like JOL, started as light and funny but we didnt expected the story will become serious n political intrigue). But idk if u like Xu Kai, coz he is the ml on that drama. But he really do a good job at that drama as general of war. He can delievered the transformation of the character from youth n playboy character, become a great n responsible general after tragedy he has face (his crying scene when he lost his little brother is one of his best crying scene on all of his drama, so devastated. Sorry to spoiler lol)

Oh one more drama that i just remember. The dream of splendor. It was soooo great drama n have very beautiful cinematography. On par with nif. And the character for ML n FL is really well written (both leads is veteran actor n actress too)

Joy of life (have 2 seasons, if u like nif u will love this drama. The plot n characters is genius af 😆) jin jiu ling, imperial doctress, the romance of twin flower, the sword and the brocade, luo yang, ni chang, alliance advisor, court lady, the starry love, destinied.

I am at ep 22 rn and daaamnnn,,, how i really want to slap n chock wei ming so bad 😂😂😂 he seems have psychopath traits : manipulative, charming/charsimatic that make people get into his trapt, professional liar, have no empathy, have no conscience, see others only as a tools for him to use for his own benefit (if no use for him anymore he will throw away just like a trash) even he use his daughter as a tools too for his goal, cold heart, and good at scheming. Only smart people can take him down or realize before it late there is something wrong with himn coz he also smart to make a plan. Ordinary n naive people will get "eaten" alive by him like xian ji and his new mistress and only get know his real face when it's too late (thankfully xian ji have lin shuang to save her career)

He do a bad thing with calm attitude n with flat face even with innocent face (like "i didnt do anything wrong, i am not guilty. Believe me" kind of face). For people who know his dirty things, will get irritated so badly, how come u still acted like innocent when u know that u are wrong. But people who didnt know, will believe with his lies. Kudos to the actor that really live up wei ming character

That why,, i kinda afraid to watch it lol... i hate tragic ending

Oh no... i like her too 😭😭😭 i really hate when a good people but turned to be evil. It break my heart 😭😭🤧

My most favorite scene, when Lian Yuan grabbed Shi Yue hair n shame on her with elegance. I fell in love with her character lol...for me, she and Mr. Chen is the most interesting character compared with those three main leads.

In term for character personality, the support characters (mr. Chen n liang yuan) is more interesting than the three main lead. Not for their story, but for their personality. I even more like liang yuan personality than the main female lead. She is so charismatic, tough, sarcasm, hard to read, smart n take control. Among people on this drama, only she can beat n control Shi yue (i feel excited when she grabbed her hair lol). She is sexy as women but also have masculine side with her strong independence character. Also mr. Chen, he is a really interesting character. It's hard to read his mind n intention. I also like his facial expresion n charisma. He is like a male version of Lian Yuan, have similiar personality but also opposite. They suited as lover but also perfect as enemy. It's really complicated lol

And for the antagonist, she successful to make boil my blood, i seriously want to kick her so bad lol... that is a prove how good actress she is. She really good to portrayed a psycho twisted obsession women. Unfortunately for the three main lead personality feel flat and boring for me. But for Yi Ming, i hate him to guts and dont feel sorry when he is miserable lol... he deserve it.

2. There is some plothole from my point of views and some supporting role character (main lead's friend) do something out of their character for the sake created a problem for main lead that make nonsense for me. But overall, good storyplot
3. Great chemistry. As expected from great both main lead acting. The drama become interesting, funny n emotional because of their chemistry
4. PG +15-16. No passionate kiss, but we still can feel their affection n love through the kiss,

I dont mind with the way people talk n expression is childish. But how thay act n think is more important. I seriously cant stand for grown up adult but act n think like immature kid
