My thoughts about the show after completing it. It was very well executed but i felt the main character Gi Hun…
I do agree with your comment. Gi hun character is OTT. Sang Woo has more realistic approach. He's desperate and will do everything to win. It will be much better if he ended up winning.
The show is a big dud. Show does nothing but play out old stereotypes again and again and this repetitions causes…
I agree that there's nothing really special with the storyline. But i'd rather waste my time watching good actors convincingly acting their part than a good storyline ruined by bad acting. Seriously, there are more than a few Hallyu stars out there who cannot act.
Off topic. Do Koreans really eat rice on its own without flavour? I see it many times in dramas they have it in…
My kids likes plain rice or with soy sauce and they either have cereal or bread for b'fast. It depends on one's preference or what is available. So most probably South Koreans like to start a day with a hearty meal.
I didn't liked how they executed the scene of persuading gamri-shi. It looked like ji PD manipulated her by bribing…
My sentiment exactly.... the PD is a very calculating person. He even described his disposition similar to a baseball pitcher... his character is way too much that is so distracting.
Episode 7 and I still don't like the ML.I like the feeling of the drama and how it's made but I can't cheer for…
I can relate to the feeling. It also happened to me while watching Monthly Magazine Home. I only watched it up to ep14 because of the supporting characters. Sometimes we feel oblige to like a drama because it is popular, but it is still up to us to decide whether we like it or not.
I am not happy with the 2nd ML character. He's such a sly fox and a cunning manipulator. Showering grandma with gifts, visiting her for a few days, then gone and came back and voíla, she decided to let him use her house! 😠 IRL this is what happens to lonely mature lady getting conned with their money. It's not really a good example to get your way. Although she made her timed decision but i still feel that she's been manipulated big time!
To writernim, don't let this triangle drag on too long, because viewers might disappear in bermuda triangle. The scene between Du-shik and Hye-Jin is enough. The town chief love story are not engaging. Just cut the 2nd ML airtime. He's a good actor but his character of being pushy and knowing too much is annoying, he seems to carry a stalker trait.
On the brightside, It looks like Hyejin cold demeanor to Dushik is gently thawing. Hyejin has a strong sense of responsibility and after seeing Dushik crying and begging for her not to go, it made her feel responsible for him. That's why during their clothes washing scene, eventhough she remembers, she didn't draw back and let herself just be comfortable with him and enjoy their moments. The trust was also apparent in the preview where she sat next to him... so i hope we get to see more of their development.
Am I the only one that absolutely can’t stand Hye Jin? Her personality is gross and I get that through the show…
Calm down ✌️🕊she's actually loveable 💞although she feel entitled but she knows how to adjust and she's willing to compromise... Du Sik fell in love with her on the first episode when she joined the halmeonis in cleaning the squid and she tries hard to do it right. The way to understand her is to go beyond her words but look into her actions and good intention.
There's something very annoying about this show like it gets on my nerves a bit, it's slightly overhyped (for…
I understand your predicament. Some dramas are not for everyone. The reason I am watching this drama is because I like both actors. I agree there's nothing really special about the storyline but i like the acting and cinematography. I find nothing special about the side story of supporting characters. The Kdrama The Package has much more better storyline in terms of supporting characters.
| DS “friendzoning” HJ |I feel like I interpreted this situation completely differently than everyone else…
Actually i wouldn't recommend the movie as its painful to watch. The acting is a bit awkward and the cinematography are not that great. I only watch it after reading the others theory and i wanted to know if there are some basis to it. Now that I have an idea about the storyline and i can say i can truly enjoy just watching it. Enjoying the relaxing moment that the whole drama gives.
I have finished ep 3, but couldn't continue -_-I want to watch actually but just stopped dont know why
Likewise. I was so into the first season and have watched every episode so many times. I was really looking forward to Season 2. I've watched the first episode, didn't enjoy it much as the first one, so i dropped it for the meantime.
I'm guessing that Du Shik suffered from some major health issue (maybe cancer?) and that's why he spent 5 years…
I really enjoyed reading POV on this drama. But perhaps the answer lies in the type of book that he reads. Walden is about simple living and self sufficiency... he must be well travelled, learning all different things, speaking Russian and sign language so I am guessing he spent the missing 5 years travelling around the world.
