well said and i agree with wanting to know more about the 'real' history and factual situations (like the earthquake relief efforts) behind the fictional story...and may i say well done China for this exemplary display of soft power???

it's a perfect show to binge and it has so much heart in it, some that will make you cry and more that will make you smile that i really do not understand why more people are not raving about it! i absolutely loved it and Cdramas are a new addition to my asian series passion...watch it!

ooohhh i also am in the same spot of trying to go over ep 2 or 3...i cannot even remember i keep on dropping it...but with POJ withdrawal simptoms still running wild i have to get to the bottom of this other well reviewed acting effort of our most beloved hero..and i must say the FL does not displease me either...so..yeah...good luck to us both on finishing it this time (p.s. i have found that creating a chart of the characters helps with the political plot elements...maybe it will help you too??)

Why in the Top Airing Shows list of MDL, under the chinese section, Pursuing Jade has not appeared once during it airing?? is that not crazy?? it even has one of the highest rating for any drama on the site...i really dont understand....

..talking of the OST...why don't i seem to find a full list of songs on Spotify? all the ones labelled 'pursuit of jade OST' only have one of the main songs (the intro i think) and then a whole loads of other songs from other dramas...If anyone has the full OST for Spotify could you please share? maybe it needs to be searched in chinese? the play on traditional roles is absolutely a mastermind for so many charachters in this drama! not one of them sticks to a cliche' of his or her sex/role for too long...they cross boundaries, forge alliances, strike new deals and conquer new hearts (in battle and in house centric duties like cooking and mending)...absolutely mastermind!

Am i the only one who is finding absolutely precious that instead of the most common plot progression of: they meet/they clash/they come to understand one another/they finally have happy stretch/then more troubles & happy ever after .... we are getting such a lengthy and joyful slow burn/real life romance and family bliss depiction at the very beginning? i know the hard times are coming but it feels like my acorn store of happyness is full enough that i can withstand the harshest misunderstanding/distrust/momentary distancing plot...ah..end my eyes are so full of candy that i could watch the odd (luckily not so gory) slaughter or two ....

can you help me understand your comment on the director's previous works? I have watched and loved Blossom..but who or what is Zhu Yu? is that a title of another drama?? thanks
