any drama with similar plot? the recommendations are not enough for me !!!!help me !!!!!
Try "My wife's having an affair this week". Pretty much the same plot but with a more comedic twist. Valid love is sole melo.
Other than that adultery dramas would include: I Have a Lover (first 10 episodes is pretty much the same as Valid Love) A Wife's Credentials On the way to the airport Secret Love Affair temptation One warm word My man's woman Babysitter
Can I just ask why you avoid OCN dramas? I've only been watching dramas for about a year and am only now…
OCN as a network focuses on police/crime dramas. I dislike police procedural tv shows so i generally avoid OCN dramas since i know they won't appeal to me.
I don't know if you already are, which is plausible, but i suggest you become a professional reviewer. This was just so awesome and entertaining to read! :D
And honestly, i felt exactly the same while watching it. Pretty bad, but so enjoyable it just deserved higher than 8 in the end! xD The definition of "so bad, it's good"
Always happy reading your flawless reviews amrita and finally a review about LITM i can agree on!
I stuck with this drama mostly because everyone was praising the hell out of it while airing and i was trying to figure out what i missed. Honestly, i usually find politics boring but in the very end they were what kept me going and helped me reach the final episode here! Never thought i'd say that. Thank you for saying it for me!
Park Bo Gum, however was a treat to watch indeed!
Thank you for this review amrita, at least i know i'm not the only one who couldn't see what was special about this drama. :) It was watchable but that was pretty much it.
yeah but why did you evaluate the rewatchable value to 7? dont you think its rewatchable ?
@HwangEunByul i never rewatch dramas so i rarely give high scores to rewatch value and i don't really take it under consideration in my overall score. A 7.5 rewatch value for me means it is rewatchable but it won't leave such a strong impression the 2nd time. However it depends on the viewer.
Somehow this is so mysterious and different. I'm glued to my screen. Anticipating the next episode to see where this is going. Jo Yeo Jung always picks amazing projects, she's the best in this drama! Fighting!
I haven't watched this drama but I would disagree with you saying that "Making a woman commit suicide…
@Viktorija Psychology was my first college choice too, but i failed to get in and i settled for History & Archaeology :). I understand your passion, I am currently attending seminars about self-exploration psychology, it is extremely interesting, so i get where you're coming from! :D
It's true that some people tie their meaning of life to finding their "soul mate". But this does not exist. We all need to understand that happiness comes from within. We cannot put all our hopes for a happy life to someone's face and say "for as long as i'm with them i'll be happy" it just doesn't work like that. People come and go sadly, we don't own anyone, being happy is a personal choice and constant struggle with ourselves.
However, i do understand what you mean. Some people indeed act like this, so if this doesn't go their way, and their love isn't accepted, one could expect the worse, in some cases even suicide. Sounds foreign to me, but i can clearly see it now.
It is my personal view that becoming suicidal for trite reasons is not normal. We all get a bit obsessed over some things but failure on any level will sooner or later come, it is part of life. Any kind of failure isn't the end of the world but rather a step closer to success. Without failure there can be no success, and success won't feel the same if one hasn't been through failure first.
In the same sense, i still believe committing suicide for romantic reasons is wrong and stupid (excuse me for the harsh word). There is something wrong there. Obsessing over another person to the point you're willing to take your own life isn't a matter of logic vs feelings, it's mentally wrong but yes, it can happen.
In the end, i do understand where you are coming from. All this time watching, i guess i was looking at the whole plot completely rationally raising my eyebrow, but i should have taken under consideration that not everyone thinks like me.
For me, like @ViolinGal said, this is still not a good reason to base the whole drama on, and the way they complicated it with multiple ships and characters made it increasingly ridiculous to believe but in real life i guess a simple form of it does exist.
I do accept suicide as an action, everyone is free to do whatever they want. Still, i feel that no person is worth your life, there are more serious life issues that could push a person to the brink of taking their own life. Nonetheless suicide because of romantic disappointment could happen. So, thank you for this conversation, you gave me a different viewpoint to see things from! :D
I haven't watched this drama but I would disagree with you saying that "Making a woman commit suicide…
@ViolinGal It saddens me to even think that this is a realistic reason to be very honest. :( But i understand where you are coming from.
I do agree that it can be stressful and traumatic, definitely, but what is life without it? Do we expect to fall in love and be forever happy? We've all witnessed heartbreak one way or another, we've all hurt.
In a world where problems emerge into our lives all the time, is suicide for romance the answer? I just cannot really wrap my head around it. How is this be the answer? How is this gonna help anyone? It is just too much, the easy way out. It might not be unrealistic as i initially thought, but i still feel it is wrong.
We all have problems, multifaceted problems and we fight 24/7. I guess maybe some people just cannot... cope? :/ I understand
Interestingly enough, I actually related a lot to the main male character, and I'm not even that introverted...…
@manicmuse Interesting indeed. Being an introvert myself, readind the drama's title i was very excited to watch this expecting to see a version of myself on the screen. I guess my own unrealistic expectations made me judge this way more harshly that i should have.
In any case, i do believe the introvert-extrovert characteristics were exaggerated for comedy's sake and to make his character sympathetic. I could relate to him in some things (oral presentation in front of a crowd for instance) but even at that, his reaction was too much. Losing his words and stuttering?
You stomach the pain and you find a way to do it. Then you can go home and have a 2-hour crying session to blow off some steam or generally find a way to work around it and get it done. It's work! The amount of avoidance this character showcased was a little bit far-fetched i think.
I haven't watched this drama but I would disagree with you saying that "Making a woman commit suicide…
@Viktorija I understand and respect that. Humans are indeed very complicated and every one is unique. Maybe it's that i see this from a completely personal perspective while i shouldn't.
Life is so hard and it sucks. Literally everybody is having a hard time, everyone is trying their best to cope. Why would you resolve to suicide?
Suicide is just the easy way out, i could accept it if they had given me concrete reasons for it, but in the given circumstances i can't really accept it.
I don't want to spoil anything further, but i would never see myself dying for love reasons. Maybe i'm a male, so that possibly plays a part in my worldview, but life is and should be about more than just romantic relationships. There are ways to work through things better than suicide. Why is someone worth your precious life?
Then again, let's not forget this is Korea, having one of the world's biggest suicide rates. I guess suicide is not such a foreign concept to them as it is to me.
Maybe i shouldn't be as harsh, but it definitely bothered me. In any case thank you for reading my review :D
I'm anticipating!
-Cause i'm happy i'm close with a person like him.
So deep...

For some reason i thought this was airing on TvN.
Anyway i'm anticipating. Fighting Jieun :D
I agree, being short definitely has its perks! :D
