A paranormal romance, werewolves with the standard tropes (alpha falls in love with a human) but a decent plot and acting…. In a VF drama!!!!!! I cried tears of PNR Stan JOY and watched it about 10 times, then all the links disappeared from YouTube and I cried again.

I respectfully disagree. The Double was about revenge, also the FL didn’t die and she pretended to be someone else. In Si Jin, the FL is reborn in the past and is focused on changing her fate and saving her family. Literally two completely different plots.

You have a good point, but there are still two episodes left. I think the missing element will be revealed then. Which is why there isn’t a preview. How PDJ and the kidnapper were put in contact, I think there is still a wild card twist that has something to do with Sang Woo, especially because he and BSE were friends when they were young (supposedly). The drama isn’t perfect, there are definitely things that don’t make sense, like the FL and ML wounds being completely healed the next day in the beginning and a bomb going off that destroyed an office but the guy holding it was “not seriously injured”. Despite this, there are other details that were smartly added and I am really enjoying the show, especially the relationship between the main CP.

This is one of the cutest VF dramas I have seen. The CP is adorable and the plot is good. Real kisses and a sweet green flag ML. Very pleasantly surprised with this one.

This is one of the most ridiculous plots that I have ever seen. But if you can put your common sense on the shelf for a few hours, the chemistry between the leads is 🔥it’s the first time I have seen a French kiss in a Chinese drama multiple times.

Hi! In the last chapter Nan says that he realizes that this is the part that he is meant to play in Nam’s life, her brother and support. I think because of his family’s part in killing her Mom and Dad, he feels that it wouldn’t be right. It’s kind of a punishment for himself because he feels he doesn’t deserve her or to be truly happy. Which I can understand even though I think it’s super lame. This SHOULD have been a bloody revenge story, because I seriously don’t get why they went back to Thailand to the same neighborhood where they are rubbing elbows with the peeps who could kill them at any moment??????? How could Nan think this would end well and he has had all this time to tell her the truth. Even though they have no chemistry in my opinion and Fah’s fake smile is just cringe, I would honestly understand why she picks him at this point.

Hi Diyaa! IKR, I hope so too! Yes Fah’s uncle is in on it too. Nan has actually been hanging on to this secret for a long time. Nam’s parents are killed when he is 12. Before they go to Nam’s Bday massacre, he overhears a convo with his Dad and that smarmy dude where they plan to kill Nam’s family. They do it because Nam’s Dad owns the company with Phong, but he finds out about stealing and other crimes and they kill him to gain control of the company and prevent him from telling anyone and the cops.

In the book, Nam marries Fah. But the drama might change the ending.

👋 I actually didn’t read the full novel, I just skimmed a few parts and read the ending. So I’m not sure if they actually got together and broke up. It would be interesting if she finds out everything and they kiss in one ep, but I think it’s a bit too soon for the brother to lover switch up. It’s probably a dream. I could be wrong though, can’t wait to see!

I only skimmed the book because it is quite long so there are a lot of details that I didn’t get, but in the end Nam marries Fah and has 2 kids. Nan spends the whole book pining and suffering in silence but decides to let go at the end and is at their wedding. Which is wild because Nam even admits that she will never love anyone more than Nan. Also, Nan’s father Pong is responsible for the death of Nam’s parents and was going to kill her too but she was saved by Nan. I sincerely hope that the drama has a different ending, because TF?????

I am really enjoying this lakorn and the sweet chemistry between the leads. I wish that I could find similar ones. I got the book and had to manually translate it to find the ending.

I can understand your point, but I thought that the imagery was a cool effect, albeit a little too much and too long. What completely ruined the scene for me was the added music that drowned out the Qin. If it was a battle of the Qin’s, then that’s all I wanted to hear. It could have been such an amazing scene, poignant and powerful with the sound of a lone Qin, which would also clearly show her mastery. Instead we got the equivalent of a Disney princess in an Avengers battle and the OST to match. Like, TF??? Such a disappointment.

I am fairly new to bite sized dramas, but I have seen a few of the ones on your list. I do like a drama with some actual chemistry where the leads act like a couple that likes each other. I Greatly appreciate the Recs!
