He hasn’t even been off work for 2 months and that means his career is stalled? It seems highly likely he will not be re-signing with Huanyu. If you handed in your resignation at work would you expect to be given a new project? Why would he be on a variety show when he has no dramas airing right now? Yes 800 m is coming but do you think Ding Yongdai is gonna go on Hi 6 to play games? That’s not happening. Hi 6 is for idol drama. It seems likely Kai will join Great Escape this coming season but he said himself he doesn’t want to do variety shows anymore. Variety shows are just to boost popularity anyways. I think Kai wants to be serious actor . Xiao Zhan hasn’t done variety shows anymore since 2020 and no one is saying his career is over because of that 🙄🙄🙄As for his weight loss, he also lost a lot of weight at the end of Yi Ou Chun filming. He likely finds it difficult to maintain a healthy balance while filming and it sounds like he has a fast metabolism. He mention his dad can eat whatever he wants and not gain weight . He also mentioned that anesthesia wore off quickly during him getting stitches in his face- that could be a reason why or they didn’t administer enough. You saying he looked “depressed” is just your own thoughts. Just become someone is tired or not smiling does not equal depression. He was seen in Beijing yesterday doing some work. Also Tencent has a reputation for treating artists like crap 🙄seems like you don’t know as much as you want to claim you do. I’m not claiming to be an expert but I’m not running wild with speculations.

The scene in the rain was so beautiful (I like rain) if slightly unhinged on Duan Xu’s part 😅

I think part of the problem is sometimes they may be filming more than one drama in a set at a time so there can be a lot of background and overlap noise.
It’s just certain voices that are very distinct or that I have heard often but I also have very good hearing so maybe that plays a part too lol

Actors in China are doing more of their own dubbing now then they were a few years ago. I think the dubbing is more noticeable in older dramas. Luckily many of Kais characters have been dubbed by the same voice actor so there is some continuity.
I always find it amusing when the voice actor appears in a random drama I’m watching and I’m like “hey I know that voice”😅

AMA is great, the character really suits him. He is doing more dubbing, hopefully in the future all his roles will be in his own voice. 🙂

I don’t see it as an obsession.
If you compare here behaviour to the other spirits in the void she doesn’t have a fixation. Like the soldier at the gate , the guy with the barbell, even Yan Ke. They’re all driven by their obsession.
He Simu understands her place in the world, tho she may long for the mortal world she isn’t obsessed with it. At the beginning of the drama they even mentioned she had long forgotten about the spell bearer and the ability to get the 5 senses

I feel like Simu is not driven by obsession that’s why she can be a balanced ruler

I think you can understand her character better after ep 23-they show her backstory and think it becomes more clear why she has interests in human ways

Was nice to see He Simus backstory so we can understand her character better and how she became the sovereign.

Thought the same with that very unimpressed look on Duan Xu’s face 😅like careful bro he might just leap up there and finish you off too

Hotel del Luna actually was how I wound up watching c-dramas 😅 her past storyline set me up for costume dramas and I haven’t looked back since. Really good OST too

Umm there are quite few highly overrated actors in China but Chen Feiyu is not one of them. He barely get mentioned most of the time

Personality 😂 (no hate to him, I’ve genuinely tried but he’s just not for me )

I tried to watch the Blue Whisper and I just couldn’t stand her character in the few episodes I watched plus l have never been able to finish any of Ren Jialuns dramas 🤷‍♀️ But I am loving this drama so much,
It’s visually beautiful and I like both main characters. I think the plot is interesting-mortal man falls in love with a spirit. She has all the power, position and influence in the Void but she doesn’t want to be the sovereign and wants to experience life. I think it’s interesting 😗

Sometimes I think people don’t know how to enjoy things anymore. Just want instant gratification. I’d say judge the series at the end not half way through.

Ascension pool scenery is so beautiful with the broken bridge and broken gate and mountains in the background.
Really looks like something out of a fantasy 🤩
