As for the way Tong dies, it will be probably be in the 11 or 12 episode. What happens is that mark is hurt and nearly killed, tong wants him to drink the golden blood to save him but mark refuse as he know he couldn't stop and that would kill tong. So tong bites his lips to bleed and then manage to kiss Mark. because of the power of the golden blood mark finally drinks all his blood . but he find out just after that tong is not dead yet so he comes back to him and Tong decide himself to drink marks blood (only a little) that is a vampire blood but also the golden blood which transform him in a vampire but also save him because of the golden blood!

the plot is really about developing the relationship between mark and tong so there is a lot of tension in the novel, we'll see what will it be in the adaptation but yeah the plot is constructed around them mostly. But they are still a few scenes with others vampire or tong's friend group at the university
