Just checked the script writer, he wrote princess silver and the princess wei young, they were great dramas that I watched. Hope this one has same tension between the leads. (Though I am not much entertained by the synopsis. 🫠)

Because that's a drama! A fictional perspective catering to people's imagination. Most of the comedy/romance/fantasy based historical cn dramas are like that. If you watch those with seriousness in them, you will realise men held the authority while women were treated as commodities.
