I rather think mu deqing protrayed (in every actual way - expresssion (eyes, body movement and speech)) the actual fact his only family is the emperor.

that was the most heart wrenching part, mu deqing wanted to help the emperor bring back his wife and thought of the comfort of the baby.
After being told to leave, mu deqing confessed that the emperor was the only family he ever had.

all I got to say is Mu Deqing is the MVP of episode 48.
the writers can take a hike before jumping into the yanzhou sea.

am taking note of the movie - can't remember the name but its something the chrysanthemum throne. the villain was & always has been the emperor he even killed his own sons and got people to attempt to murder him too. lol.

Instead of wondering if its a happy/sad/torturous ending, would be great if the mastermind reveal is the biggest surprise to everyone. Who knows might even be the emperor himself?? lol.

I think the final cut made more sense as many of the audience really hate dragging scenes (slow burn romance / standing around just talking etc),
Due to covid tons of work has been pushed back by about a year so now cdramas are being churned out like butter. hard to keep up.

that shows how much the drama has captivated the audience, if the acting was bad we would have dropped it and moved on.

wouldn't it be such a plot twist IF the mastermind of all the riots and dethronement is actually Tilan and her brother?!!!

Quite frankly Jianming didn't cross the line he loved Haishi secretly never confessing this I suspect caused misunderstandings between them.

I understand what Yang Mi meant by Jianming & Haishi should never be together, she wasn't indicating the ending.
