Mei Zhuyu is an amazing man, so calm after all that. He is the epitome of Tao.
Yes, he had to be shown as calm, even though his mind would be calculating and processing things the whole time, MZY, his personality, his teachings and training all added up to him just quietly observing and remaining calm in those moments.
Moreover, he was the one who comes up with the answers too, he shows everyone that the fiend infant is still alive as he had captured the remnant earlier, and he comes up with the thought of summoning the Changxi weapon and breaks the barrier that seemed indestructible moments ago.
Did you see when he raised his sword to her neck, she stepped in further as if kill me, but he drops the sword…
To be fair, what both did makes sense for their characters and the duties they hold. Neither is right or wrong, they're just on two opposite sides. The only thing I found unfair was her giving him a choice (it wasn't a fair choice), and he could only pick one, the one that disappointed her.
I felt that.... big barrier in their love. They broke inside. Their hearts were crying. She was expecting him…
He has a prejudice, yes. But he didn't act upon it without proper assessment of the situation. Even when the other celestial masters came and hastily wanted to break into the demon underworld, he advises him not to be in a hurry. Earlier in the drama, he lets the goose demon be free and live in peace because he saw no evil or harm in it.
I felt that.... big barrier in their love. They broke inside. Their hearts were crying. She was expecting him…
No, it was the situation where neither could act otherwise even if they wanted to. Neither was wrong, she gave him a 'choice', but in fact there was no choice for him. Lives of 5 brothers vs. ignore it all and happily live a life of love with his wife. That's not a choice!
When he drew his sword to her neck, she moved further in, dared him to strike her, so he threw down the sword,…
He instinctively places the sword in front of her to stop her from stopping him break the barrier. When he sees the 'You dare?' in her eyes, he realizes what he'd just done and drops it, because harming her is the last thing he would want to do.
When WZ gives him a choice and MZY strikes the barrier, she smirks in disappointment and charges towards him with her whip, when he dodges and it hits the tree where he would've been. He is in utter shock because of how powerful she was and how ruthless she was being in her attacks on him.
When the barrier begins to break, he sees LTZ, WZS, HZ, LX - all these friends she always has around her are ALL demons??? What have I married?
WZ’s reason is the protection of thousands of lives. MZY’s reason is the genocide of thousands of lives. You’re…
My my, 'genocide of thousands of lives'. His perception of demon is just evil beings. Maybe he was thinking of the place as a dark and dingy one where some demons are committing and planning more evil. It was faaaar from his imagination that it was a bustling city full of all kinds of demons. When he broke into it, his intent was to save the brothers from the harm he pictured.
Is WZS evil? Yes, quite. However, he was credited with much more evil in the comments here.
He hears Changming talk about MZY and suspects him of being related to Changxi Palace, that's the day he goes to MZY and threatens him not to harm WZ. (Of course, he also pretends to be very intimate with WZ, but that's regular SML stuff)
After the unfolding of events today, it's clear that nobody knew WZ had the infant fiend's core in her, including the elder grey, WZS and WZ. So, when her body was being too weak to hold the power within, it wasn't him behind it, it was due to the core and he actually thought that her giving up of the human body and becoming a full demon was the solution. (Of course, his way of turning her into a full demon wasn't too noble either)
He may have been a follower or supporter of the fiend infant, but he wasn't THE one behind the heavenly fire. (Of course, he still is evil by association)
No intentions of fighting, just curious, why do you think he has to redeem himself for choosing to enter the demon…
No no, I didn't say you blamed anyone, in a manner of saying, I said I wouldn't blame either. This was bound to happen, and both would be in a state of shock, they need some time to reevaluate things and dynamics and later the strength of their affection would pull them back together.
Ig he knew. He saw the familiar cat and put pieces together in his mind and called out if it was WZ, she then…
That could just be that in their dynamic (whether WZ is a demon or has associations with them) his identity becomes a threat to her. Also, it's in his personality, even when both had undisclosed identities, he'd be the one to 'explain' and 'apologise'.

They both were thinking at different wavelengths at that time, she was thinking he'll enter and will destroy whatever he finds, he on the other hand wanted to save his brothers from the immediate danger first and maybe resolve the issue between them later.
I wouldn't blame either, they were both right at the moment in trying to protect what they're supposed to.

For that dialogue, I am not sure, was he saying it because one of the Changxi brothers was following them and he wanted him not to suspect her, orrr, he hadn't figured it out until he sees the cat at the temple later
