I agree with you, but I hope they will show it more here without needing a second season (even if I'd watch them for 100 episodes cause I'm kinda obsessed by this show 😍)

But in WBL the second couple has almost insignificant screen time in the 1st season, and in season 2 again they focused a lot on the main couple, and they speak more of the third couple (the doc/barman and ShiDe's coworker) than on the second. At the end though, they served us a proposal without even showing us a scene where the two are alone as boyfriends or in a date 🙄
All this rant was just to say that I hope they won't do the same here...

I don't see the sense in having three couples when even the second has very short screentime and they can hypothetically resolve it in a rush 🤕
It probably won't, cause up to now the storytelling was good, but we're at 8/12 and Alex and RJ have barely talked to each other (screentime talking, in the fictional time they have spent a lot of days together).

Me too. Cause it's damn late at night, English is not my first language, and I think I need a 10 pages review, cause even if I understand Xun An's feelings, at the same time I don't get it. 😅

Thanks for the explanation. I was wondering if switching from Mandarin/Taiwanese to English and vice versa was a thing in Taiwan. But I get that when you are confident in both languages you switch for a bit to the other (I just did the same a few hours ago with one of my friends). l've never thought about the testing your friends/significant other thing, but it sounds realistic 😉

I stopped watching it after 3 episodes. A few weeks later, I decided to give it a try. Probably you have to stick until episode 5 or 6, but that is worth the wait. As the other user said, this is one of the best BLs of this year.

I get we all have different tastes and backgrounds, so it's possible you'll still find it bad after watching more episodes, but I wanted to give you the pov from someone who didn't want to watch it and ended up loving it 🥰

Yes, they're not. But I was still confused when they used it. They say Bai Lang switches to English when drunk, but Alex? And Xun An replying to him? It felt natural, but sounds strange to me.

I think he's trying to lie to himself because he thinks he doesn't deserve to be loved, and his brain tells him that he can't be left alone if he's not with someone. So he masks Xun An's attentions and care as a friend's one.
