I love the show. The only thing is - sister plot is a bit of an overkill. They are all adults, so realistically,…
Definitely. Especially with all the trauma her brother is dealing since childhood. Having a man like Xun An - he is her junior for God's sake: she knows him pretty well - by her brother's side should make her happy and exteemely grateful π
I could just laugh. Downplaying Bai Lang. He is traumatize in what happened in the past and he does not what it…
I agree with you, but I hope they will show it more here without needing a second season (even if I'd watch them for 100 episodes cause I'm kinda obsessed by this show π)
But in WBL the second couple has almost insignificant screen time in the 1st season, and in season 2 again they focused a lot on the main couple, and they speak more of the third couple (the doc/barman and ShiDe's coworker) than on the second. At the end though, they served us a proposal without even showing us a scene where the two are alone as boyfriends or in a date π All this rant was just to say that I hope they won't do the same here...
I was like yep now BL needs to do the chasing, and XA told him off :). Communication.
I hope for no more drama sincerely π I mean, they have three couples. Once in a while they can gift us with a BL where the main couple doesn't break up in episode 11, and give us the tension with the secondary couple, maybe? Fluffy domestic boyfriends vibes aren't that selling? π₯Ί
Don't get me wrong, I adore this show and I'm kinda obsessed by it (and it has never happened to me before) BUT I don't see the sense in having three couples when even the second has very short screentime and they can hypothetically resolve it in a rush π€ It probably won't, cause up to now the storytelling was good, but we're at 8/12 and Alex and RJ have barely talked to each other (screentime talking, in the fictional time they have spent a lot of days together).
I love how Jin XunAn got upset when Bai Lang confessed his feelings like that after turning him down in a rather…
Me too. Cause it's damn late at night, English is not my first language, and I think I need a 10 pages review, cause even if I understand Xun An's feelings, at the same time I don't get it. π
The insert song that was first played in today's ep, during Xun An's college days. Kelly Cheng - My True Selfhttps://youtu.be/ZA0y4ukkMGk
Oh thank you! β€οΈ I thought I already heard her voice.
Please, this thing is driving me crazy... apart from her song in the WBL OST, in which other BLs could have I heard her? I've searched at least 5 times through all the Taiwanese BLs I've watched but I cannot find it. π€―π΅
Episode 7The Good-Well, there's always the shorts. And Pleum's shorts were plenty high this episode, too. My 2023…
I agree with everything you said!
"I'm available to provide my voice for scenes like this going forward, Thailand, if you need me." I laughed so hard, you made my day π€£ I'd love to hear it with your voice.
Yes, they're not. But I was still confused when they used it. They say Bai Lang switches to English when drunk,…
Oh, thank you! I didn't know Alex (the actor) grew up in North America. This explains many things.
Thanks for the explanation. I was wondering if switching from Mandarin/Taiwanese to English and vice versa was a thing in Taiwan. But I get that when you are confident in both languages you switch for a bit to the other (I just did the same a few hours ago with one of my friends). l've never thought about the testing your friends/significant other thing, but it sounds realistic π
Thanks for taking the time to explain π I really appreciate
I have never dropped a drama as fast as this one: two minutes of Earth playing a kid was too much to bear!
I stopped watching it after 3 episodes. A few weeks later, I decided to give it a try. Probably you have to stick until episode 5 or 6, but that is worth the wait. As the other user said, this is one of the best BLs of this year.
I get we all have different tastes and backgrounds, so it's possible you'll still find it bad after watching more episodes, but I wanted to give you the pov from someone who didn't want to watch it and ended up loving it π₯°
I am LOVING the English dialogues!! Theyβre not cringy like in some BLs :β)
Yes, they're not. But I was still confused when they used it. They say Bai Lang switches to English when drunk, but Alex? And Xun An replying to him? It felt natural, but sounds strange to me.
Iβm liking this quite a bit. I think the 2 leads are really interesting characters and Iβm enjoying finding…
I think he's trying to lie to himself because he thinks he doesn't deserve to be loved, and his brain tells him that he can't be left alone if he's not with someone. So he masks Xun An's attentions and care as a friend's one.
UGH THE NEW EP HURT, BUT THIS SERIES IS SO GOOD WHY IS THE RATING SO LOW?????? AJFBSBDJD
My only hope is that many people (like me) vote only after completing the show. I leave sometimes a rating to an episode but idk if it counts in the main number here π€
Thanks for replying anyway π€
