Jang Han-Seok, why didn't you up your security intel... (after Ep 16, after they come to his house several times)? I thought Vincenzo had to fight a lot of them back but now none are in his house and they go through the garage? -Overlooked- Choi Myung Hee, why aren't you doing anything (remotely helpful) right now? -Overlooked- Seung-Hyuk, What are you even doing? What's your plan? -Overlooked-
-Argh, I can understand (ish) the villains' IQ going down the last few episodes for a rounded ending, but please deliver a good ending.
Also, Did Mr. Choi have to do with Vincenzo returning from the airport, because of the long camera shot when his phone rang from Vincenzo+ Camera shot when Vincenzo comes and he gives a sigh of relief)
Who composes the Vincenzo Soundtrack? They're great, Don't even mention those awesome OSTS, but those bgms (+ that new one at the end of ep 18) just fits the scenes so well. Definitely a selling point! 10/10 for the soundtrack.
finally ep 17-18 brought back my initial excitement over this drama..Sometimes I felt bored watching it until…
If we get a bad ending actually ep 18 can serve as a second ending, because we can assume all the confrontations means that off-scenes Babel is taken care of, him coming back means he's staying in Korea, and the last scene music+gesture seems really ending-liked (cool music, ending on his face, a cool moment)
Actually, I realize when you watch the episodes in flow (no days, weeks in between), the storyline makes more sense than after waiting for a while and all you can think of is, 'Don't mess it up, writer-nim'. Much better viewing experience. Also jealous of those future viewers who can binge all 20 in a go!
Same! I’ve also decided to start law school recently and I have to catch up on on-hold shows. Still, I suspect…
No, but I've seen such great reviews about it everywhere. In fact, there are so many dramas I want to watch. E.g. They say Jeon Yeo-Been's Be Melodramatic is on Netflix, but it's not available in my region sadly, but I want to watch that so badly. And I haven't watch any Viki dramas because it loads every two minutes and is always buffering (for me)!
I think that's my next drama unfortunately for me once I adore and obssesed about a drama, script, main leads,…
Agreed. The last one was CLOY for me. I know it's funny to be proud of it but I am proud that now I don't feel anything even if I looked at CLOY fmvs, because oh gosh the time spent gushing was way overspent. But actually, I like Vincenzo a lot better personally because of the action. I think action and suspense will soon become my favourite genres.
Is it just me or did SJK get skinnier over the course of the series? He raises his finger and beckons two times, the first time in episode 1 at the tailor’s measuring tape scene, and in the last scene on episode 18. His jawline is a lot more defined in the latter and he just seems more skinny overall tin the latest two episodes. Either way, I hope they don’t have to watch their weight now filming is finished. Also, his ‘mafia’ hairstyle is styled a lot better in the last two episodes than in the start.
Actually I’d say flixpatrol is ok. Netflix doesn’t really release viewership figures often. For the countries they have, flixpatrol calculates the daily top ten listings on each country and gives points according to that (the order). Anyways, I suspect it’s not much difference anyways since Netflix calculates a view as watching two minutes of an episode now.
Haha, I watched the whole thing and I didn’t really think anything since I’m so used to product placement. I only remember fancy bread and this fluid medicine thing they all chew on. But yeah, it was eh. Like it’s fine as a drama overall, but I watched it like I’m looking at air.
Ugh I’m so sad to even think about how this amazing show is ending THIS WEEKEND like what even I feel like it…
Same! I’ve also decided to start law school recently and I have to catch up on on-hold shows. Still, I suspect they won’t be my ‘main’ dramas, just dramas I watch.
You did well. I decided to watch it yesterday and today I am already finished. Have to wait 3 more days, omg!
Gosh, that is sure a binge. At the fastest I have to still take three days. Ah, but a three day wait is but little matter- that 2 week hiatus was torture! Either way, if it comes too soon we’re all sad it’s ending-better to build up anticipation.
I had some sort of expectations on Myunghee and Han Seok to be good villains but they been lackluster asf. I want…
Same, they’re kind of throwing tantrums rn since Myung Hee was just trying to please Han-Seok recently- so I think that their arc is now and empathy for conclusion and theirs some other bigger threat in episode 19 for them to solve. From the trailer, though, it seems Han-Seok escapes prison so hopefully they do a good job making him threatening again. And even though I don’t like twine of the plot, in the end I can just rationalise it in my head.
Is there a chance for a season 2? Worldwide success is huge and I believe this cast and staff has potential for…
I just want them to have a satisfying ending. Usually these shows are supposed to be one season, not thought out for a second, and I would hate for a good show to be followed by a lacklustre one. Just hold on to the good memories. But maybe they will since people can usually count on previous success. (Don’t people say SJK doesn’t repeat a role though?)
I hate the word 'cringey', because its definition is literally the sound of the word itself. STILL, it really encompasses what I mean to say well. I really didn't expect that 'sweetie' and 'darling' wouldn't be cringey, because it was actually, so, so sweet-and awkward, ofc.
Betting on the Cencha Couple flying out to Malta in Bye Bye Balloon. If Jang Han-Seok is alive: Cha-Young says, 'Bye, Jun-Woo!' Just kidding, he totally needs to die.
Also, reassurance to some: In the EP 19 trailer, we see Cha Young's bloodied necklace-on the bright side, she really does care for Vincenzo a lot? She was wearing the necklace. Anyways, this means we might get a moment in episode 20. Gosh, I really liked her blue blazer in the last episode. it looked great on her.
Edit: Just me, or do SJK and JYB look really similar (in facial features) at certain angles?
