General of what?
Well, it's about China; we know the government may have censored some part of the drama for some megalomaniac reason, but unfortunately, I have to judge based on what I saw... The title of the work is eye-catching, Legend of the Female General, but what we see the least in these 36 episodes is this general. It's pure marketing; it's just another female character they try to make us believe is actually autonomous and independent in relation to the man... but at no point do we see that, partly because of the actress’s physical presence, which doesn’t convince much, and they chose not to show any part of our protagonist’s military life. The parallel plots felt weak and uninspired, with repetitive scenes like the one with Xiao Jue, where he gets beaten twice, and the emotional tension is nonexistent. Much of this is due to the actor’s performance, which could be compared to an iceberg. Scenes that should’ve been emotional were ruined by random characters just to drop information, and some flashback parts no one was really interested in, like the one with the master and the princess. When it comes to a vampire story, you expect at least darkness, special effects and a sense of danger, but not on this channel.The vampire story has become just another sleepy romance story, with dubious acting.
I think everyone wonders where the money is going and there you can see that they don't value any actor's performance. For me, this kind of story has to have interesting villains. Those who you think will bring danger to the protagonists. In the end, it seems more like a boring school story.

I dont like so much
Unfortunately, this second season didn’t work for me. I do understand that, being a second season, much of the spontaneity and surprise has been lost. But the story feels like we’re watching a mafia movie — Scorsese meets Francis Ford Coppola. There's almost nothing left of the school-life setting. Some actors, whose characters are supposed to be in school, look nearly 35 years old, which also pulled me out of the experience. There are lots of random fights involving characters we often don’t know or care about. I felt the main character from the first season was very sidelined in the story — it seems like the real protagonist role shifted to Baku. By the way, who is Baku? I don’t know. What’s his relationship with Baek-Jin? I don’t know that either. I found it very tiring to watch.Was this review helpful to you?

I thought this was one of Japan's best BLs this year, but it's not easy to watch. Many people even think it wouldn't be classified as a BL, because it's so dry and difficult to watch certain scenes. The characters aren't loved by their families and are constantly treated badly because they're gay. There are some scenes with difficult children too, and I liked the performances, although there were some awkward scenes of intimacy.Was this review helpful to you?

Uma total perda de tempo esse BL foi do nada a lugar nenhum, 12 episódios que ABSOLUTAMENTE NADA ACONTECEU, uma confissão de amor, um abraço um beijo, NADA, o que se espera de um romance? filosofia barata? mas nem isso teve não se engane não tem nada de edificante em dizer que é filosófico ou coisa do tipo, cansou o telespectador com coadjuvantes esquecíveis e desinteressantes, algumas pessoas que tem homofobia interna vão chamar os outros que querem algo mais excplícito no sentido confissão de amor de fetichista ou bobagens do tipo, por acaso em romances heterossexuais não tem beijos? alguém discute esse assunto e fala que é fetichismo óbvio que não, já esperamos tudo que vai acontecer em um romance hetero, porque o gay seria diferente, me parece que o diretor encheu linguiça, para um eventual 2 temporada, única explicação racional, e nunca li tanto "slow burn" na minha vida, isso não é justificativa para fazer um BL chato empacado Brockeback Mountain que "todos sabem" filme de Oscar, não é tão lento quanto esse BL, ainda cada episódio com quase 1 hora, sem a menos justificatica, com um final ali que nem parecia um final, fraquíssimo.Was this review helpful to you?
