Nine songs is a melon yu zheng pushed. Along with that melon, he sent out multiple press releases saying how good he is to xukai, and how yu zheng is spending more money, how yu zheng cover ups up for kai. You know all the outrageous ratshit that comes out of yu zheng. Then he paid some hengdian streamer to say shit about xukai and praise yu zheng. All this to force xukai into renewing. So for the next project, anything to do with Iqiyi and mango should be approached with skepticism as yu zheng is a minion of these two platforms. XK also has to be careful with the production company, producer, director coz everyone in that nine songs drama are somehow involved with yu zheng.
Looks like it’s a new policy. Wei Daxun is the most recent actor to be first billed as a villain in his drama that aired a month ago or something. But APPARENTLY for future dramas they won’t be able to get approved. Some fans have been saying that XK is still the first billed but some say it’s ding yongdai’s character coz he’s a policeman. The story is through the policeman’s character lense since it’s a criminal investigation drama that revolves around good bad father son relationship. We will only know next month when it airs.

This drama is a great opportunity for Xu Kai as he gets to try a completely different role surrounded by experienced professionals. Xukai doesn’t care about billing anyways . So either way, it’s a good opportunity for his career

For 800m- they were anyways gonna wait until 2026 since it’s an Xtheatre drama (I think). Pushed back until April probably due to platform scheduling. For YOC- they r probably waiting for a spring release (march, April, May)
