Every episode there is a detail which will link to the next and wraps up by the end. So I think it is time for a full rewatch!
Japanese dramas do tend to show more muted emotions and not too over the top reactions.
We can easily distinguish between the K and J versions of this drama and everyone has their own preferences. Liking one version more doesn't mean we have to bash the other version.
Also, don't forget that this drama is only 10 episodes so it has to be tightly written and executed.
There aren't extra characters (like in the K version) for fate to bounce around to so I think the ending was right as it is (for our villains).
PS, I am glad there is no fiancee trope here ..... definitely will need more than 10 episodes then!

Less dramatic overall compared to the K-version and somehow they made Reina a character you somewhat feel pity for. But I feel this was so much more romantic.....

Yes! Silence sometimes have more impact. You can sense his deep emotions whenever he looks at Misa. And I can see how Misa was devastated by the betrayal and is determined to change her future. I am not a big fan of being flashy and these restrained emotions and moments are what I do love about this version of the drama.

After Ep 8, I still don't feel the romancing....so better to focus on the cases!

Will there be an ex-fiancee who gets thrown in the mix.....with only 4 episodes to go.

Hmm.. At the moment I am more invested in the crime, autopsies and deductions than the romance. HAHA.

I am anticipating how the rest of the episodes will pan out.
Based on what happened with Misa's first life, Reina and Tomoyo have the bad juju coming for them.
I am curious as to Wataru's story and I love how we get to see events from his perspective too.
Only 5 more days to go!

Preference doesn't mean one version is better than another.
Anyhow, I can't wait to see if Misa can actually marry Reina off to Tomoya.
And now with Yuto being another potential rival, Wataru will need to be on his toes!

The one step forward and five steps back is killing me. I need these two to put their brains together to defeat their nemesis. SIGH.

I loved the moment when ManMan was scheming in sowing discord between Wei Dian and Yuan Wang. She is a master strategist who knows how to pinpoint the weaknesses of her foes.
I also love how WS is realising what he is feeling for ManMan. We are slowly getting there! I hope their relationship consolidates before they return to YuJun. Su E Huang will be restarting her tricks once she realises that Wei Shao will be the next emperor.
