Thumbs up to your No.1 observation - that internet cafe/hotel room is a total dream/fantasy. It's going to catch up with the speed of light. No. 4 observation - I don't agree, they couldn't even eat properly and you wanted 'a bit more romance'. It was perfect, a clean 10 from me.
Having watched the Chinese film, I didn't think the drama would be of any interest to me as I knew the story and didn't see any reason to start a much longer version of it. A few days ago, I put it on as a background while playing cards. Needless to say, I liked it so much, not only I stopped the cards game, I watched the first 5 episodes in one sitting. Lovely, lovely drama exposing a few of the problems they are having in this industry, so much cover up, so much pretence just to make money. I don't understand the low ratings and negative reviews, of course the story is unrealistic but the fact that it was delayed from airing says a lot about how many sensitive points it touched.
The actress playing the FL has a good main part in Dr. Cutie - excellent drama, I recommend it to you since you are interested in some of the actors in this drama.
Having read those reviews before yours, I was a bit disheartened. But, finally, I have to say, I agree with every word of yours ! The only difference is in rating it - a clean 10 from me half way through the drama. Why ? I don't dish out 10 so fast, but this time though, it touched my heart so much, I was blind to all its faults from the begining to the end. (I'm selfish, I rate dramas according to what their impact is on me.) Their kisses looked so genuine, I'm pleasantly surprised to find out they are dating in real life - bless them. I was actually in the middle of watching Dr. Cutie when the dark clouds descended upon the story and I wanted to take a short break and go back to it fast - impossible to stop, I ended up binge watching, especially since the FL is played by the same actress. Now, I have to find and watch those 2 episodes some people are saying they are important to the story of Love Unexpected.
I'm cracking up...I mean...your first lines were so right, I read the rest for entertainment purpose only. This kind of drama is perfect for bad reviews, there should be a contest now, see who can come up with the best bashing. Well done, I couldn't have said it better myself. Let them all watch it because, quite frankly, it's difficult to believe how bad it is. I managed to get to ep.6 and then I said...enough is enough, let's move away from it, nothing to see here.
~~ Based on real cases of the Supreme People's Procuratorate I've just noticed this footnote and it might explain why it's so credible. All the praise goes to those who managed to write and direct it in the best way possible. This is a gem of a drama.
He's one of the F4 in Meteor Garden - great drama ! Re-watched it twice. I also saw him as the lead in My Love, Enlighten Me, a drama I'm watching at the moment.
Thats cool but you didnt even watch half of it why rate it and do a review on it just cause others like it and…
Because life's too precious to carry on with what we don't like ? I used to think like you and criticise people who rushed into writing reviews after watching a few episodes but, let's be honest here, it's more realistic this way. If you take time to read a few reviews, a lot of them mention how downhill the drama goes in the second part. As far as I'm concerned, the second part became just yet another romantic drama, nothing special about it, not to mention how unrealistic and far fetched it is.
