Thanks! I started watching it after I saw the first two episodes of this version since I really liked it and wanted to see how the original was. But so far, I have only watched 3 episodes of GH. It's a long drama, so I will watch it slowly slowly.
I have not watched Go ahead before (I started watching it after seeing the first two episodes of this drama), so I am going into this with a fresh mindset. So far, I really like the show, and I am excited to see how it will go in the future episodes. While I would have liked to see the buildup of the family in the early years (like, the friendship of the dads), I think they will have flashbacks to important moments, so I am hoping we get some scenes that show the early struggles of the blended family setup they have going here.
I don't particularly like the amount of hate comments I am seeing though, saying the original is way better and not even giving this one a chance. But then again, I am protective about my favorite shows too, so I can kind of empathize there. Its still disappointing to see though, but oh well.
Other than that, the show itself is good and I am excited to see the next episodes. I like the main characters a lot, my heart broke for the kid versions and I would like to see more of them again (e.g., the flashbacks). I am excited about the love stories here too. Finally a show where Hwang In Youp will get a happy ending with a girl he falls for in school LOL. Its awesome to see him again on my screen too! Though, I must say, I feel more chemistry between the second leads so far (I read somewhere that they originally did not end up together, but I hope they do here. Hae Jun is lovely and I don't want him to be sad or heartbroken as a SML.) I even like the hint of romance between Juwon's dad (MY FAVORITE YICHAN APPA) and Hae Jun's mom. Do they get together later or is that mom a villain type character like Sanha's mom? Someone please give me the spoiler!
Overall, I like this a lot. Hope they make a good show overall without losing the original heart of the story.
