Has anyone read the web novel? Is Hai Xia really dead?
In the novel he dies about halfway in. But in the show, he'll get resurrected somehow, we just don't know when π€·πΌββοΈ It's also implied that he possibly faked his death in the first place. We'll find out soon either way!
That makes me sad π They're basically brothers, and not everything has to be interpreted as BL. Bros showing affection towards one another doesn't automatically mean gay. Too bad China is so stickler about those things π
Drama is already so goated but I still wished if I could have watched this scenehttps://x.com/feifeiyunxixi/status/2066050200079339596?s=20
This scene actually does happen! Albeit, they still cut stuff, but it's when Haixia is hallucinating from the Twilight Grass on the ship, and Hailou ends up turning into a version of himself, so Haixia is hugging himself. Kind of weird and maybe that change happened because of censorship but who knows π€·πΌββοΈ
Is the series actually a confirmed sad ending? I'm seeing multiple comments on other platforms saying that it…
I haven't read the novel, but I had heard that Haixia dies closer to the beginning of the novel? Or I could be wrong, but he "dies" in the beginning of the show: episode 8. Although in the show he will be brought back in some way. We just don't know how yet π€·πΌββοΈ But with the way things are going, I don't think this show will have a happy ending...at best it could be bittersweet. Who knows, though!
it has ai in it no? the first illustrations barely even match eachothers style and they move so weird. not gonna…
Yes, unfortunately it does have some π I'm very anti-AI, but it's still a very good show, so I'm continuing to watch it anyway π€·πΌββοΈ And a lot of newer Chinese dramas coming out do have AI in them, whether it's in the opening credits, or used in place of CGI. It's getting harder and harder to avoid dramas that don't use any these days π€·πΌββοΈπ
Hailou really carried his bro's dead body on his back for hours in the city and then in a wheelchair π Bro just couldn't let go, and then in episode 12 when he bought 2 coffins...He really was ready die with his brother π
Zhang Haiqi is like the worst mentor ever. Not a fan of some of the plot devices right now, but hopefully there…
Yeah, her methods are rather cold... And I agree with the plot devices...but hey, I'm not bored and the acting is great! Zhang Xin Cheng has been really killing it in the last few episodes with his acting.
I mean, even if Haixia doesn't fully come back, it looks like we'll at least get some more happy flashbacks of them together π Better than nothing I guess ππ€·πΌββοΈ
Ohh, I've heard people speculate that he's brought back with black magic or his corpse is controlled by the twilight grass and it's not really him. I wouldn't be surprised if something like that happens. I mean, there has to be a reason the bad guys kept his body in a crate with preserved with ice, just like the other Zhang guy; probably were going to use them for something!
Although, in the scenes from the end credits, it shows someone helping ZHX learning to walk again and it's heavily implied he uses a cane at some point.. I'd be surprised if they were flashback scenes...perhaps he'll be revived somehow π€·πΌββοΈ
