Haha funnily enough I've been waiting for this only because I've wanted to see JKY play a killer again since I saw Kill It. He did an incredible job there, and I can't wait to see him play another similar character. Am looking forward to it! I hope I actually get round to sitting down and watching it. Also, I thought LSH's character was the main lead? I guess I was wrong, though we really can't say for sure yet.
This made me laugh, and it made me cry. A good balance of emotions all round. I actually started watching it a long time ago but put it on hold, and recently came back and restarted it. I managed to finish it this time, and while there were quite a few scenes that gave me too much second hand embarrassment to watch, the character relations and dynamics kept me going. Young Soo and Gi Tak had the best possible bromance(?) a guy and another guy reincarnated as a woman could possibly have. I loved every moment they were on screen together. Incredibly iconic duo. And I love how close Yi Yeon and Hong Nan became, it was a treat to see them (and Seung Jae! Gotta love Seung Jae) being happy together. All in all, while i did skip quite a bit (i can't take second hand embarrassment at all and the first half of the drama was FULL of it), it was a great watch, and I did enjoy it a lot. Also, BEST OSTs, even after I put it on hold the first time I kept the OSTs I liked on my fave OSTs playlist and on my Spotify liked tracks playlist. I could listen to Two Faces all day. The instrumentals are also straight fire.
it isnt the masterpiece public sentiment might lead one to expect, but i was certainly entertained. when people…
It is quite entertaining, but my disappointment at how far short the actuality fell from what people said it was like left me disillusioned and a bit bitter, which I guess took a bit of the enjoyment away for me. When you love something, you should be willing to admit its shortcomings, but yeah, love is often blinding
Wasn't expecting to see Healer on this list given how much people seem to like, but I have to say, it deserves to be on there. I started Healer with insanely high expectations after hearing all the good things people had to say about it, only to have those expectations sadly trampled upon. I mean, it wasn't that bad, but it wasn't nearly as good as people make it out to be. I finished it for closure and because I love Ji Chang Wook.
I don't rewatch things. Before today I'd only ever successfully fully rewatched one drama. But I would gladly watch Chief Kim over and over and over again. It's been my favourite drama since I first watched it in 2017, and nothing has even come close to it since. I just finished rewatching it, and there are tears on my face right now. It's just so good, everything about it is so incredibly satisfying. I don't think I've ever enjoyed the dynamics between characters in a drama as much as I have with this one. Can't wait to watch it again when some time has passed and I've forgotten the specifics of the plot. Anyone who's skeptical over whether or not to watch it, discard all your doubts - this is quite possibly one of the best dramas ever to be made.
i didn't get what i was expecting with this drama. i thought it was going to be far more serious than it actually is, but what i got was far better than what i was expecting. a spy drama full of comedy that also follows a thrilling plot, brimming with lovable characters and a general lightness? this had the perfect ratio of all my favourite things in one drama and my enjoyment rating is off the scale- i generally prefer funnier dramas, dramas that aren't entirely romance focused, and crime/spy dramas, and this hit that sweet spot in the middle of all three; crime, drama and sweetness with a healthy dose of funny. i love it.
according to soompi jang kiyong is going to be the serial killer, i'm hYPED- he was great in kill it, i enjoyed that plot very much. I hope this is also good, am waiting for it excitedly
my friendly advice is - don't force yourself to like something just because many people like it. Maybe you can't…
That's some really good advice. Thank you very much! I guess I was really looking forward to watching the drama because of all the glowing reviews, and I thought I was in for something amazing. I was really disappointed that it wasn't as great as everyone says it was, if I'm being honest :')
I really loved the characters, but I just couldn't get into the series. The fact that Ha Quing and Yan Fei were cheating on their partners made it very hard for me to enjoy their scenes together. It would have been better if the show had been about the two separate couples because I really couldn't ship Ha Quing and Yan Fei. Yan Fei had waaay more chemistry with Jimmy, in my opinion. I really wish that that had been the main ship tbh. Maybe I'd have been able to ship Ha Quing and Yan Fei if Jimmy and Ping Jun weren't there, but they were, and thus I couldn't. And so I ended up skipping through most of the episodes. But I really liked the characters, especially Yan Fei and his work team. I really liked his interactions with Pinky a lot, too. I didn't like Ha Quing that much though, he was kind of rude and annoying.
It's been months since I watched this show and I'm still annoyed over the fact that I didn't enjoy it. Everyone is always saying how good ti is but I didn't like it :')))
The only prosecutor is Jung Jae Chan and the only alien is Do Min Joon. I agree with all of these but the spy. My favourite spy would have to be Kim Seol Woo (Park Hae Jin) in Man to Man. But then again, I haven't seen Healer yet, so maybe my favourite will change.
