I'd recommend for dramas Bara no nai Hanaya, Beautiful Life, Pride, JIN, and Dokushin Kizoku. For movies/specials I'd recommend Secret, Usagi Drop, Love-On Air, and Hitsudan Hostess. If none of these appeal, I could try to recommend some more. Looking for a genre in particular?

I'm surprised that since T.O.P is your favorite that you haven't watched 71: Into the Fire yet. He was so good in it!

I tried watching this back when I first started watching dramas and ended up dropping it after the first episode. I finally went back and tried it again and am kicking myself for not picking it up sooner. I absolutely loved this show <3

I thought Bride of the Century was going to be a romcom too, but it's listed as melodrama, so I don't know. I think I've decided to hold off on it though. I kinda sorta watched the first episode and it didn't thrill me. I'm tempted to start Boku no Ita Jikan, but I just finished 1 Litre of Tears and I don't think I could handle another one right away.

I'm glad I'm not alone in that aspect then <3 I realize that I'm that way not only with asian dramas, but just tv shows and movies in general. Whenever I hear all the hype I get really excited, but when I watch it, it doesn't live up to my expectations. And I am so glad the alien drama is ending, my mother is making me watch it with her and I only have the episodes from this week to suffer through! I vowed never to start a drama with her again that I didn't screen beforehand, lol!

There is nothing wrong with not liking City Hunter. My advice to you, if you watch two episodes and don't like it, don't pick it back up because you probably never will. I found that out the hard way, lol! Again with my mother making me watch dramas I don't want to watch.

I thought after that show I would be an Lee Min Ho fan, but I've disliked every other show of his I watched after that. He really isn't that great of an actor. The thing I don't get though is how his cd sold. He can not sing.

I've wanted to try I Hear Your Voice, but I've come to realize with any show or movie, if there is a lot of hype, I usually end up not liking it all that much. That and I'm really not a fan of 'noona romances'.

Don't let my opinion turn you off from Autumn's Concerto. A lot of people really enjoyed it, I'm just the oddball that didn't, lol!

Yup, it's called Three Days. I'm curious, but I may put that one on hold until it finishes airing. That one might be one I want to marathon. You'll have to let me know how it is if you start watching it! <3

I've dropped a few, but the one most like what you mentioned was Autumn's Concerto. It's very highly rated, everyone was recommending it, I loved it in the beginning and then it all went downhill from there. I kept telling myself it was going to get better and kept watching it, but 3 episodes from the end I gave up, I could not stand it anymore. Has anything like that happened to you?

I am totally addicted! <3 If all the episodes were out, I probably would've marathoned them all in one night XD I haven't tried INR3 yet, I'm debating whether to give it a try or not. That and Bride of the Century, it says it's a melodrama and I just finished one and don't know if I can handle another right away. There are a couple melodramas I want to watch actually.

I completely agree. After getting further into the show, I sort of feel bad for her, but I still don't want her to end up with Souta. She missed her chance.

I held out for so long, until I lost it episode 8, it all went downhill from there. Such a beautiful series. Very moving and inspirational. I don't think I'll forget this one anytime soon <3

The other airing drama I'm watching is Shitsuren Chocolatier and I'm enjoying it a lot as well, but I'm still most excited each week about Emergency Couple <3 I'm debating whether I want to pick up Bride of the Century as well, I may give it a shot and see if I like it. Are there any upcoming dramas you're interested in trying?
