Hahaha yeah, she knew the truth about DS not being the one from the letters few days before him going to San Francisco. In that moment, DS's personality was intertwined with HJP for SDM. It's impossible she liked him for who he was at that point. She waiting for him for 3 years didn't make sense as she didn't really know who DS really was. And DS actually changed a lot when he went to SF, meaning that what she might have like of him in the past wasn't there either (he went from dorky and cute to a depressing teenage boy). NO SENSE. It will never ever make sense to me. Unless DM likes toxic guys, which is sooo realistic.

Also, does anyone know what DS likes about DM? Like plizz. Apart from her being pretty, I see nothin. (which again, so realistic tbf)

The show revolves around HJP, that's why we fell for the SL. I'm not sure if it's miscalculation from the writer side (isn't she experienced tho? How can she do such a bad job?) or the story was supposed to be different.

Ain't judging, just curious. It comes more from a place of self-reflection, and I use this way of thinking for myself usually. We crave for the kind of love we are used to, even if it's not a healthy one. But I sometimes forget that I shouldn't have this kind of conversation on internet, where my intentions can be misjudged and misinterpreted. But it's not a real SLS. He was given too much backstory and plot importance (like the revenge stuff) for it to be called SLS. I almost never get SLS, but the writer treated him as the main lead, that's why we are here. I don't know what she was trying to pull, but she shot herself in the foot. Yeah, when HJP helped to save Noongil and still didn't get any recognition and all the merit went to DS. Where did that go? In the plot black hole I guess. RIP (also nobody was corrected for misjudging HJP's life and nobody knew till the end he was an orphan. Like I have more intimate conversation with people I met 10 minutes ago than DM with HJP knowing him for 3 years lol)

Yes. When DM talked back to HJP or when HJP told her that the problem is the CEO I was like "yeah! we are supposed to help each other grow" and you see that both changed after those events. Seing DS's character regression, DM becoming a damsel in distress is such poor writing. For me DM was supposed to be the manic pixie girl dream for DS, when he loved the idea of her instead of who she was. Seeing her fall over heels for him was sad. Really loved the original Cyrano story, when the girl realizes he loves the soul of the man. Wasted potential

What the writer failed to understand is that we know divorces exist, and it my mind I'm divorcing them in a few years (3 are the years needed for infatuation to go away). Ofc, DM will regret not choosing HJP (she will grow as a character to accept that we sometimes regret our choices even if in that moment they looked good for us and that's okay -we are allowed to make mistakes/in contrast to her "Imma make sure I don't regret any choice I make" from the present) but he won't be there for her anymore. HJP will have his own family (he became more open to love in the final episode so with him being attractive and successful, ladies lined up). DS will be wiser and find finally his dream and worth far away from a relationship.

All of this in real life, as the drama intended to be the first episodes. In Disney drama world they lived happy ever after.

I agree with you. I didn't like HJP the first episodes and liked DS instead. But if you watch it further, you'll start to dislike DS because he becomes toxic while HJP changes and reflects on his wrongdoings. HJP didn't like DM when they were young: it was just friendship (which is a good thing, she was a kid back then) but started to like her when he met her (he notices her resilience and other things). That's why for me they made sense together, because he liked her for who she was now. I liked them together because they made each other better and they weren't afraid to speak the truth to each other. DS agreed on anything DM said, and he fueled her recklessness. They were great as business partners, but in a love relationship theirs wouldn't last long as DM would get bored of him agreeing to everything she said and DS would resent her because he had to give up in his beliefs in order to keep a relationship with her (all of this long term, now they are in the fluffly love phase so it looks cute).
I'm saying all this from a mature point of view of relationships. If you're not there yet, you might not understand it. I read a lot of psychology books on relationships, so you do you.

They never said anything further than "Why do you like me" "Just because" and then got married. I like the Frozen analogy as, in this version, Anna (Dalmi) marries Hans (Dosan) after barely knowing him. It's actually a good ending. They were both immature and impulsive. And if you ask me, I'm not really sure they love each other as he proposed because they won the bid.

Their relationship is toxic, so my prediction is their marriage will end up in flames. But I'm glad HJP went for a clean break up and maybe he's not in the pics because he decided to take himself out of that mess and started his own family, now that he trusts people. Somewhere far from these toxic people. DM is not even close to Roxane, HJP's better off without her.

But the question left is why would they put so much effort in the symbolism (the colors from the character chart, the elements) guiding to a jidal endgame (apart from the OST which also points to jidal)? Was her intention mislead people on purpose? She tried to subvert the trope of child connection and went for the "distance make the heart grow fonder" or "because it's you " tropes?

Even at some point it looked like Dosan would find his dream before reversing everything. The drama started touching delicate subjects as imposter syndrome etc just to make it "love doesn't need reasons teen love" last minute. It looked like she was up to something, preparing some character growth. I would like to see why it turned like this tbh Some of the symbolisms were right on point (they happened) so I don't believe they were fillers. Something is off but we'll never know

That's not the plot twist they were talking about. There was not twist from where the story was heading to. Also the OST is talking about Jidal (My dear love, etc.). I believe the ending was supposed to be different, the symbolism was true. (except for the last 2 episodes). Some twitter user predicted Dosan would leave Sandbox from the poster (he is the only one who doesn't have the Sandbox card) which did happen. The golden broken spoon from Injae pointed to what was going to happen: her losing the relationship with money/stepfather. I dont know what happened behind the scenes (maybe HJP popularity felt threatening for Soop Entr) but we were robbed from one of the most beautiful love stories in drama world.

Okay, I gotta say it. This is not second lead syndrome. This is main lead went wrong syndrome. The story started with HJP and revolved around him. We were meant to support Cyrano (HJP): the cinematography, the hints, everything. That's why I feel cheated

The writer has the right to tell their story, if you like how it ended it's your problem, but we don't need that positive energy here. It gets in the way of our hating.
