🤣🤣🤣I LOVE CLOY: my first real K drama! I fell in love and never looked back!!! My second drama was Something In The Rain: and I found the amount of drinking and eating they did there literally incredible and than, scary! People being dead drunk is not funny indeed! Quite the opposite!
Let me get this straight: these drama awards (SBS, MBC...) are the awards the broadcaster give to dramas they showed on their own broadcasting channel. Isn't this like patting yourself on the back?!?!? It is always nice to get a reward though! Congrats to winners!
Yeah, I know! I don't find excessive drinking romantic but they usually use it so the main characters can confess (which actually happened in this drama!! Ep (5/6) and it is, as you say, absurdly cringe....
I am on my 4th rewatch of the movie version. And even though I like the story, I still find the chemistry lacking. I am a sucker for enemies to lovers stories and this one is one of the best in spite of its flaws...

Sorry but I'm finding it harder and harder to "chill" where alcohol is concerned...it is omnipresent in K dramas and if you do not want drink (for whatever reason: health or otherwise!) it is a sign of disrespect! Moreover, I find drunks pathetic and not cute, no matter how much it takes the edge off, loosens up tongues and pushes forward the plot! I am not against drinking, but in moderation. Like with everything: eating, drinking, smoking....IN MODERATION! Name one drama in which there in not a scene with main characters dead drunk and stumbling down the street: but I grant you, it gives the writers a good excuse to have the ML, who is rarely as drunk as the girl, carry her on his back. How "romantic"!
Yes it is just a drama, but very often they are a reflection of the reality!

Unfortunately today's society is unforgiving. You are guilty, full stop. Nobody cares if you are proven innocent! The cancel culture is well and thriving in the west as well. People get judged by the internet trolls just as much here but for the different reasons (i.e. agreeing with biology and science will get you cancelled for transphobia- Harry Potter was written by Anonymous Writer; Kevin Spacey has no career anymore in spite of being cleared of all charges etc. etc.) and luckily they never commit suicide though ordinary people do. Each society has its dark side but it seems often that the korean is hellish. Even if 10% of what is shown in dramas is based on truth, that is not a country I would want to live in!

ATTENTION: The full version on Tencent youtube is not full: there are about 5 episodes missing in the edit! Also, the background music has been erased so the dialogue is barely audible and there is a constant buzzing sound! Basically, AVOID the so-called full version of this drama: it is a disaster!
All in all, a really good mini drama where the ambiguous brother steals the show!
This part is a better than the season 1 which was too fast: so much so I did not understand most of what was going on. With 2min episode what was I expecting? Well, the second season! Though the ending is not to my liking...The main couple was so cute!
One episode in and I am loving it...just the right thing to watch on Christmas ! And yes, it is full of clichés, and yes, the plot is nothing new, seen so many times. But it is well produced, written and acted. The actors have great chemistry. It is uplifting and optimistic. What more do you need today? Just like the person above pointed out,if you want realism go watch news! This was never meant to reflect reality: it is a fairy tale...
