Finally someone is taking issue with the age gap! And I mean the characters' ages not the actors'!!! An adult lying, romancing a teen or accepting his advances is so wrong! No matter how much Soon misses his boyfriend, some lines should not be crossed! An adult should take the responsibility for his action and not take advantage of an impressionable young man! Soon is such an immature adult! The teen behaves as an adult while the adult is being a child! I really do not understand how NOBODY in that production house thought that the plot was off! They just keep piling it on: ep 3, 4, 5 ("I can't sleep with you because you have exam tomorrow!" Really?!?!?) nonsense stuff! Adult Soon totally destroyed this drama! Thank you for pointing it out! The story could have been so good if they just added a minimum of logic. Even with time travel!
Am I the only one weirded out by an adult falling for a teen version of his boyfriend? No matter how much he misses him, some lines should not be crossed and certain behaviours should be discouraged!
UWMA is cute and fluffy? It is the first time I hear it so described...it is amazing, tense, dramatic, tragic, thought provoking, serious, extraordinary, everything but cute and fluffy. Though it did jave a few light moments it is really a very heavy drama. It is so interesting to see how two people who saw the same drama have the complete opposite opinions about it.🤣🤣🤣
I loved these two episodes! The plot reminded me of old, 19th century comedies (Oscar Wilde, Georges Feydeau) with secrets, doors slamming, hiding in closets, falling over on purpose (vaudeville, burlesque comedy). And even though I don't like the main couple of actors, I enjoyed this fluffy and silly piece a lot! I don't think it was meant to be taken seriously. At least I hope so! Otherwise it is a very different story as you pointed out in your last paragraph when you mentioned they tried tackling serious issues. Those issues are too important, especially in Asia, to be treated so lightheartedly.
I have just finished reading the webtoon and we definitely do not need a second season of this because nothing really happens: just a lot of misunderdtandings and pining. They picked the best parts of the novel when they made this: perfectly condensing it.
I'm rethinking on watching this should I give it a try? was it good?
I started watching this in spite of all the negative comments because I like KYD.I expected to drop it after the first episode! But 3 hours later, I was still watching and debating whether to start another episode.I was immediately hooked. The FL is universally hated and people prefer the past part of the story. I do not like sageuks at all (never watch them) so the amount of story taking place in the past was just right for me. I feel that both plotlines are just the right amount. The chemistry is decent, the mystery is not too complicated and the acting is excellent. Nothing particularly annoying or draggy just slow burn...I binged it over three days and I am about to start the final episode. I think it is good but I guess it always depends on your own preferences.Give it a try: watch the first episode and you'll see if it is your cup of tea!
Why do you dislike this drama so much? The ratings are dropping at the speed pof light (was 8.1 yesterday!!!). I like it very much, the stories past&present are equally gripping. What is it you do not like here? Please tell me!
