what do you think the chances are of them releasing it, but not in China itself? I've been thinking about this- it was a huge outlay of cash for Tencent to make Immortality, Winner is King and League of Nobleman and like you say the hype for these shows is happening now. It's not without precedent- Netflix released Yin Yang Master: Dream of Eternity even as it was pulled from theaters in China due to a scandal involving the director.

The Wife is First is so good! Ghosts Know What I Experienced is fun if you like ghost stories and ridiculously wholesome romance (modern setting though) . Golden Stage is
of course the gold standard of #couplegoals -action, adventure and romance.

It will be a quaint artifact and everyone will be saying "Can you believe they used to censor this kind of thing? Crazy times those were!"

You know what- it would work to watch them in opposite order. As long as you know the gist of the story. I'll admit I liked O&O better than I'm liking F&E, but I like costume dramas better than modern ones. The leads have such excellent chemistry, it works whatever the setting.

If you want to give your tear ducts a workout while waiting for hyx (gotta keep in shape!) may I suggest One and Only- it started as a "meh this will fill the time" kind of show and I finished the last ep tonight and was crying so hard I kept having to skip back because I was missing dialog.

A Tale of Thousand Stars. I liked the characters, even the side characters were well-developed. The two leads had great chemistry. The scenery was beautiful. The love story was sappy but not too sappy. 10/10, would watch again.
