I liked both of them a lot - i think your daughter will have fun watching Yukan Club ;) The main actor is so hot *.*(if my little sisters would watch jdramas i'd have recommended it to them too - but they only watch korean dramas/movies...)

There's pretty much everything you could like in a good movie - romance, comedy, action and a good make-over scene :D (this scene is daebak!) Could you tell me how you liked it after you've watched it? I haven't found someone to talk about it yet ^^

I'm always searching for new historical dramas - so maybe i'll try that one next ;)

I can recommend: Fish Story (it's only a movie - but it's great!), Yukan Club (great actors + good stories), Saba Doru (hilarious), runway cop (one of my absolute favorites - watched it already... 5 times i think?)
Just realized that i don't have many pure comedy shows in my list--- :/

The first thing i found strange in rooftop prince was that they acted so comedic - but at the ending the story didn't really was that happy ...
I mean the couple in Queen Inhyun's Man even got together in real life during filming - so there were some great romantic scenes to see ;)

Yes - that's what i also like. Usually one would think that it gets boring but there's always a different twist which is giving the story a "fresh spin" like you said :)

The only drama that i couldn't watch was Rooftop Prince - i just loved Queen In Hyun too much - and thus i didn't really like the time-travel thing in Rooftop Prince... ^^

Ah - wondered if i should watch this (since i also like historical dramas ;) - but i didn't like it that the main character was a woman (sounds bad - but i simply like the male heroes like iljimae, rurouni kenshin, faith etc. too much :D)

Why? (i mean i probably won't convince you because i myself watched half of it - but still ^^)

LOL. :D
Like in korea when a new drama with a secific genre (ghost seeing main actor, time-travel) gets aired: "I won't need to watch any of this too soon" - and like two weeks later a new drama with different story but same specific genre gets aired :"I need to watch this - my fav actor is the main actor!" And thus the doom loop begins :D

thx - to you too :)

QSD? Queen...? ;)
I dropped Bridal Mask :'( - i knew that it absolutely wasn't going to end well (regarding the main characters) so i couldn't bear to watch the ending - but i loved the male lead ;) (He's a great actor - Good Doctor was really intersting O.O)

Did you watch Gu Family Book? I still haven't completed it (i finished half of it i guess?) But it's a nice mix of historical-drama-action-romance-fantasy <3

- Well, english dramas are as good as k/j/c/tdramas- so why not watch them *.* Nice breather ^.^

O.O SO what's your favorite historical drama? (or historical drama-s- ;)

...can sort of understand that - i'm in a slump too. NOt because of what you said but because i think that everything's predictable...
A big creteria to watch a drama is for me the character of the main actor(s). But right now there are too many stereotypical roles used in dramas - it's almost boring ( ._.)
The only thing apart that that's keeps getting me intersted in dramas is when the actor is really good at acting (like in You who came from the stars - the male lead *.*)

Legal High? I think i decided not to watch that after seeing the cover :D (sometimes i let my whims decide what i watch ;)

Sometimes i enjoy watching only one or two episodes per week and sometimes i'm happy to marathon through a drama.
I don't think i could enjoy watching historical dramas for a long period of time though. Since i watch that genre only when i want to :) And then i have the problem that i, when i start to watch something ongoing, have to watch every week - because it's a hassle to watch 4 episodes in one week... (I'm at that point with Inspiring Generation - i didn't have enough time around episode 9 and then i just made a looong break... now the drama is already at ep 19 -.-;;;)
Sometimes i get a bit impatient - but i'm usually a patient person, so that's not really the problem. Afte i decided not to watch the previews anymore it got better ;)

You can't deselect? ... i would've been at a total loss then... I even deselcted physics and our economics and law course...

Yes! I really recommend it! I mostly watch the historical series that BBC made - but that one is very good :)

Both sound interesting - seems that i'll be able to enjoy more japanese dramas in the next weeks *.* (i can't even remember what the last ongoing jdrama was that i watched... was it Hanzawa Naoki?... maybe...)

:D - same for me
but it's a mix: comedy-romance-horror
It's not as bad(and frightening) as i thought it would be ;) Apart from that ---- I'm a totally scaredy-cat and can't watch even "soft" horror effects...
But because of that movie i thought that it would be okay to watch those dramas with the ghost-seeing-main actresses ^^

...i deselected chemistry in HS :D But i choose the advanced course in math -.- (wasn't the best decision i guess...) Learning probably took a while. Hope she gets good results. *fighting*

The series with Benedict Cumberbatch as main chracter :) I really like that one <3 - my little sister got the dvd's from a friend and we always watched them together ;)

I'm wondeirng if i should watch Border
+Oguri Shun
-I don't really know what to think about the story...

What's Bitter Blood about?

Totally agree!
I didn't know that beforehand...i didn't read the synopsis before watching the drama - i just wanted to watch something music related - i was completely startled/shaken after he died - cause i thought he was the main character :'(
- i also loved him in Chilling Romance - did you watch that?

No problem - i answer quite late myself... What subjects did she have to learn?

To choose between versions of the same book... that's not only a problem with Pride&Prejudice; - there are quite a lot movies that've been re:re:remade - and in the end it's just luck of the draw ^^

Seems interesting - after i've watched Sherlock i got interested in other crime stories :)(I also like korean and japanese dramas in that direction but i still haven't choosen what to watch next ;)

Shut up flower boy band... that one had more personality than any other drama i watched during that time...
I'm still sad thinking: "Why did he have to die? That was so unexpected and definitely not nice" :'(

What would you say was the best korean drama regarding that part? I guess Reply 1997 fits - but it has so many different parts...

That's nice - there are few dramas who are able to catch that feeling. (Especially korean school dramas... 1) because the actors look too beautiful - no pubescent teenager looks like that 2) because most actors are simply too old ^^ I still like them though.)
Yeah - the bromance was featured in a few articles, right? I like Kim Woo Bin - great actor :) But he seems to attract those bromance-realtionships :D

I like the new wuxia dramas/movies more (since i like good special effects :P) And when i was little i didn't even know that there are wuxia movies ^^

I also liked both movies - (especially the soundtrack and the pictures in the newer version were really good). But since i'm not a big fan of Keira Knightley i had more problems with that adaption.

yeah- that's what i liked too. The background story made it seem more realistic whereas austen books always have a timeless-dreamworld-feeling about them. (Both of them have their advantages *.*)

:D i also don't really like Wuthering Heights... (after that movie i always see how much depressive features i have -.-;). The new Jane Eyre version is quite nice - but at times i was a bit too scared to fully enjoy it...

:D :D :D coincidences - funny (But i'm not watching Whitechapel - did you hear anything about it?)
