This is incredibly well-written! I think this drama would have gained even more popularity if it had been released at a different time. I couldn't squeeze in the time to watch it until now 'cause I was hooked on other dramas. Gotta admit, this drama is flawlessly done and it had me on the edge of my seat!
I read the book, and the romance is a lot more...adult. I think they just tried to tone it down for TV.
Oh, seriously... so now everything makes sense... I just don't get why people have to mess with popular novels or manhuas when adapting them into dramas or movies. They should just stick to the original story, you know? I mean, it became popular in the first place because it was already good enough, right?
I think this drama could have done better. It has good action, impressive CGs, a decent story, and a good cast. However, it seems to have received mixed reactions from the audience.
After finishing it, I noticed that the main issue with this drama is the romance. The story itself has a serious tone, but for some reason, they decided to include a childish or immature love storyline, especially in the first 15 episodes. It gradually improves later on, but it can be cringe to watch at times. Overall, I would say it's not terrible, but it's not great either. Give it a try and see for yourself.
wow, this drama is good. Xu Kai on a another level.... Jian Ting perfect for him....Hope they can collaborate…
Honestly, I thought that Xu Kai and Bai Lu were the ultimate match because of their incredible chemistry in their previous works. But man, after watching this, I was totally blown away.
It seems like those who write or produce this type of drama have a strange sadistic fetish with ruining a perfectly good plot. If you create a beautiful romantic story about a couple who are doing everything they can to be happy, just let them be happy. There's no need to be overly realistic and ruin the story. I don't think anyone watches dramas to torture themselves instead of enjoying it.
The ending felt a little rushed. It seemed like they ran out of money and quickly put something together to wrap it up. If it wasn't for the ending, I would have given it a really good rating because it was a decent drama, until like episode 20.
Who is going to become Emperor? / Crown Prince? I thought it was decided that Prince Liang would become Emperor…
I think Li Ni will figure out somehow to save the young prince from Sun Jing and maybe even make him the emperor or crown prince. But I'm sceptical about his ability to govern peacefully. It looks like in the 36th episode or later, Li Ni will have no choice but to become the emperor himself because I don't see anyone else capable of managing this empire unless a new character emerges in the upcoming episodes.
Hmm I think li ni might die in the end. He wants to put crown prince’s son on the throne, but he himself is…
I think eventually everyone else on the line to the throne will die, and LI Ni and Cui Lin will engage in a final battle to restore peace. Li Ni will be left with no option but to embrace the crown.
The large-scale battles in this drama are the only letdown. They are ridiculously dumb. I was completely taken aback when they decided to send the cavalry first during a siege. It was such a terrible scene.
It makes sense to me because if she wasn't like this, there would have to be something wrong with her. Regardless…
I believe that in the upcoming episode, she might trick him and lock him up in Cui's army for a couple of episodes. Judging from the preview, from then on it seems like she will prioritize taking care of him. I can't guarantee it, but let's remain hopeful.
