Am I the only one that is actually glad that Soo Hyun didn't end up with anyone. I have two reasons, because in the manhwa he's gay so if the writers will straightwash his character alot of webtoon readers or fans of the webtoon would be upset, I too will be upset aswell if he will be straightwashed. The other reason, is that NOT EVERY CHARACTER IN DRAMAS HAS TO HAVE ROMANCE and that's the truth. Soo-hyun focusing on his studies, is actually understandable and I can relate to him because I'm also a queer person that likes to study aswell ahahahahaha. ❤️
Me too, i wanted the two broken hearts to find eachother lovable and fall in love, atleast in the final episode.…
Are you talking about Young Ran & Soo Hyun? Because if you are I'm glad that they didn't end up together because Soo Hyun is gay in the webtoon so I will feel really offended if they straightwash his character. On the other hand, I think the finale felt rushed idk I think this series needs a second season in my opinion.
Dropped it coz of 1st FL.I wish Han Na was the 1st FL, paired with Ki Yong. But then again they needed someone…
Disagree with your opinion. Hyeri is one of my favorite parts of this drama. She did really good. Her and Kang Han Na were my favorites. I respect your opinion though.
As a Queer Person, I watched this because I love both PBY and PHS but I dropped it due to the homophobia. Alot of characters in this series are really homophobic, and I didn't like how they painted the gay character here as mean spirited and just borderline obsessive. They make fun of gay people alot in this series, which makes me so mad. I could not believe though that the writer of this series is the same writer that made "Mine" which had a better representation of the LGBTQ+ community where one of the main female leads is a lesbian.
Then why did they choose a webtoon that has LGBTQ+ characters to adapt? There is alot of slice of life, campus…
Thank You. I hope so too but there is some newer kdramas that have good representation of our community (Run On & Mine) I recommend for you to watch it, it's really good. ❤️

I am sorry if I sound mad lol. I respect your opinion so no worries. 'Tale of Nokdu' I do not consider it as positive representation though because there is alot of scenes where the male lead is homophobic.
Then why did they choose a webtoon that has LGBTQ+ characters to adapt? There is alot of slice of life, campus youth webtoons out there? Yet they chose 'Blue Spring from a Distance'. People can still blame KBS for potential straightwashing because they review the show and might tell the producers to reduce the bromance and erase gay characters so that the drama can air on their broadcasting system. I have watched "Legendary Lackey" and it's not BL. The script writers wanted it to be BL but due to KBS being really conservative and also the homophobic viewers, they just reduced it to bromance. If you are not Queer yourself, you will not understand that it's frustrating to see our community being erased, & mistreated in mainstream korean media. Everyone has their own thoughts and opinions about this issue so we should not silence people that have negative thoughts about this. "Think before you act" for what? Speaking out on homophobia, straightwashing and such in korean media?
I am fine with creative freedom but just please do not change a character's sexuality just to cater to a homophobic audience.
but that time he said a GIRL.. not a person u like.. gosh.. why need to change as BL series😩
Their fine with it because their not part of the LGBTQ+ nor have been oppressed. They don't feel the frustration and disappointment we have from this drama.

Lol, Then why change a gay character to a straight character???
Have you seen a straight character turned gay in an adaptation?? nope none right.
People are not saying that this should be a BL, people are saying that QUEER ERASURE AND STRAIGHTWASHING IS NOT TO BE TOLERATED ESPECIALLY IN THIS SOCIETY WE LIVE IN NOW. I am for creative freedom in terms of storytelling, but to change the sexuality of a character just to cater to homophobic viewers is highly disappointing. If they didn't want to show queer characters let him be single instead. Not even Chinese bromances, do straightwashing & queer erasure.
I also don't get why people say Soo Hyun is in the love triangle between Mi Joo and Young Ran even though Soo…
Well, you might not be affected by Queer Erasure in mainstream korean media because maybe you are not queer yourself but if you are you can understand how disappointing it is to see an LGBTQ+ character being straightwashed.
