Since we are getting close to the end of the show, here I am sharing my biased views. This could have been so…
I also don't get why people say Soo Hyun is in the love triangle between Mi Joo and Young Ran even though Soo Hyun never had feelings for both of them. He only had feelings for Jun Wan.
I am hoping for Season 2 because I don't think they can finish every storyline in the last 3 episodes but maybe because of the low ratings and poor fan reception, I don't think they will consider a season 2. Park Ji-hoon is amazing in this, proud of him.
Well, based on this ep I think their really straightwashing Soohyun. 😔 Please let him be single. WE DO NOT TOLERATE QUEER ERASURE. On a positive note, this episode is really good.
You're biased that's why. We all have preferences. And if you were really watching, Jun and Sobin have lots of…
Some spoilers and info I gathered.
They did change some key aspects from the webtoon, The webtoon is not labeled as "BL" though but it has LGBTQ+ themes and characters which sadly might not be discussed. Joon and Soo Hyun are not in a relationship, while So Bin & Chan Ki are not important characters in the webtoon. We might not know if Joon will actually develop feelings for Soo Hyun though because the webtoon hasn't finished but for now it's only bromance in the webtoon. The BL relationship is between Soo Hyun & Jun Wan.
The story has so much potential, the atmosphere is cozy yet deep, the cinematography is well shot and the acting is fantastic (especially, Park Jihoon he gives it his all in this show) but the side characters are just so dull and misused especially Chan Ki & Mi Joo based on the information I got, Mi Joo had so much more depth to her character in the webtoon and Chan Ki had more moments with So Bin. So Bin aswell doesn't strike me as a female lead, or maybe I've seen her character alot on other stories and such so I just got bored of her but Kang Min Ah is great in this drama. Soo Hyun also didn't strike me as a character which is unfortunate. Park Ji-hoon & Kang Min Ah's chemistry isn't doing it for me aswell. Young Ran is the character I really adore in this drama even though she needs more screentime and depth but atleast she's enjoyable. I don't know if they can really well flesh out the characters because there is only 4 episodes left, which is unfortunate.
Overall, a drama that has so much potential wasted due to lack of depth and the obvious downgrading of the side characters. I wished the script would've gone to TVN or JTBC instead because we all know KBS is a conservative network.
Same, I agree. I really enjoy the show but they definitely erased the parts that could've served as genuine representation…
I am just concerned that they will force a relationship with either of them. Soo Hyun never had feelings for Young Ran nor Mi Joo but the teaser is hinting that Soo Hyun has feelings for one of them, I hope I'm wrong though.
When they'll stop making gay characters straight in the adaptations 🤠People have a right to be upset about…
Thank you for speaking up. Homophobia is really prevelant in the Korean Drama world. LGBTQ+ people like myself don't even have a plethora of good representation of our community. Thankfully, "Mine", "Itaewon Class" & so much more have good rep that we can look up to.
