Indeed I find Road Home's plot too slow and repetitive too. Love Seven, but probably that is not her best show.

I have also dropped several shows that recently air for the same reasons such as Romance of the twin flowers and Road home. Only Nothing but you stands out.

Yes they are so lovely in Nothing but you. Kind, mature, caring. I notice that the lines are so good in that show then I realize that it's the same writer of Nothing but thirty, another great show.
Remembrance of things past is also good, only 12 eps. Its theme is heavier than the current shows we are watching though.

I have watched a few eps of that show. Really love the leads, their characters and acting. It's the first time I watched Zhou Yu Tong and like her so much that I just check out her other show called Remembrance of Things Past. It's quite good too.

I watched Dreaming back to Qing Dynasty, then a meteor shower scene popped up reminding me of TSL. Then off I went back to rewatch TSL -_-! But that show is quite interesting, I plan to pick it up again after TSL's impact on me fades away :D

I have to think hard because I cannot recall any costume Chinese dramas that fit all of your criteria (probably I have not watched enough).

But if you are okay with Korean drama in modern settings, there are some that tick all the boxes:
- Because this is my first life
- Run on
- Be Melodramatic
- Mr. Queen (modern/costume)

There are some modern Chinese dramas that also fit all the criteria:
- Perfect and casual
- Put your head on my shoulder
- My little happiness

All MLs in the above-mentioned shows are calm and smart. FLs are bright, strong and/or smart too. Healthy couple relationships. They are fun or light-hearted. No/light love triangle.

If you are only into Chinese costume drama, some romcoms are:
- Love Between Fairy and Devil (no love triangle, healthy relationship, not sure that ML and FL are considered mature in the beginning)
- Oh! My Sweet Liar! (2020) (ML is not as perfect as You Quin but their relationship is quite healthy overall, I cannot remember if there is a love triangle, could be a mild one if there is)
- The Romance of Tiger and Rose (i have not watched this show, but heard lots of compliments. You can check the reviews to see if you want to give it a try)

Besides, all of the shows above have ratings 8+

I second Alchemy of Soul <3 Full of comedy and romance. Nice leads, many supporting characters. Friendship is as strong as that in TLS too.

I have also watched LBFAD and enjoyed it. The ML is cool, the role suits Dylan very well. FL was not strong in the beginning but eventually progressed a lot. Their relationship is also healthy and beautiful, especially in the 2nd half of the show. Friendship and teamwork are there too. There is no love triangle if I remember correctly. It deserves the hype and you can give it a try ;)
