hahaha no worries, actually I was bothered from time to time, too. Especially about Marquis Wuyang and certain situations at the beginning... he really did come across as an opportunist.. and I was like wtf when people just started pointing fingers at FL, it reminded me how people can be so clueless. But things change and vary from episode to episode..and I wanted to take more info into account. About White guy...idk that was so funny how he just came outta nowhere and took the plant so easily. I felt bad for FL, but it was funny. Now I feel bad for other things since I just watched ep 10 XD But I still hope this drama will deliver lol. Anyway, you're most welcome and happy watching ! :D

hmm interesting... so maybe open to interpretation ending? It seems they will chase each other until the end and misunderstand each other until the end xD I just watched ep 10.. that misunderstanding ...damn... it was kinda hurtful to watch ..them being all cute and in love turned into something really painful ...but I saw in preview there will be a lot more dramatic and sad scenes. Well, I hope you're right, I hope they make it a bit more colorful than the novel. I'm really in love with this story so far, I hope they don't ruin it. lol the thing is.. she's not even entirely villain...she's just one of those shady, annoying types of characters that really go on your nerves even more than the big villain figure . 1. She has to work for her Sifu so that puts her into entirely other category from everyone in human faction ( she has entirely other goals, tasks and narrative from everyone else) + she's just there as a spy for now, basically... 2. She can do almost whatever as she is high ranked in that training center and is being respected as someone who has been around for a long time and worked hard to get that rank ( she basically has a flag ' I am trustworthy and I am authority here' ) whereas we are mostly being showed newcomers and rookies 3. She really embraces her wickedness after her love is rejected and starts doing really nasty and vile things...But even still, she's just an annoying mosquito. On top of that, she starts off as childhood friend of Lu Li and senior to everyone at training center except Du Guy, Master and his assistant, and you really can't oppose your superiors easily. She's really manipulative and lies a lot. But I think things are just getting started and she is just a small fish in the huge ocean.

She kinda has to guys... Only in that area are seals powerful enough to ward off stronger demons.. so that is her sanctuary... and while she's at it, she's also trying to become stronger, and she's under direct protection of the main guardian for human realm... it's not entirely illogical...

The illogical part for me is.. how everything seems normal after demon attack on her birthday.. and how her parents seem to stay unguarded at their home.. (?!) I don't know if novel explains that part.. or maybe even drama will show us what happened to parents later... But for now.. they seem like they're left at home unprotected and Demon Queen for some reason isn't using them to lure FL...

I don't like it either...I don't know how he truly is, but I agree, for now, he does come across as opportunist ( kinda). I do understand that he is important figure, and guardian not only for humans, but also for other beings as he maintains the balance in 3 realms, but sometimes ..... ugh. Anyway, the problem here is he really can't know if FL decides to give plant to someone else, conspire against him etc.. and that plant is extremely powerful and rare, and only that plant can cure him( he basically asks the voice from the sword to guide him, and that voice told him to get that plant) . She voluntarily said that she will find it and bring it to him, even when he warned her that he may not be able to protect her in certain situations. Spiritual fire thing was the test. If they didn't make it, forest would simply reject them, like it did with Du guy. It is the test to show that FL is "the right one", " the chosen one" who can help across 3 realms, and that she is the one who can even get the plant for him. He rushed over to help them as soon as he realized what is going on. I don't think he doesn't care, I think he holds a lot of hope for FL, but still needs to learn to trust her. He doesn't know a lot about her( nor her nor Lu Li, for all he knows they could be spies for someone else, as those are planted as well + Lu Li kinda is hahah) and is probably in a lot of fear due to current situation and his own illness( plus has no idea of conspiracies right under his nose). Let's not forget that he gave a lot of his vitality to save Lu Li despite of his illness, so is he really an opportunist? Hm...Time will tell. The White Guy is not the bad guy :) Watch just a bit more :) . He stole it because it is precious to him to cure his younger brother. He is the King of the Aquatic Demons and he needs to protect his brother and his people, but he will become great help to FL and ML as well, more than that, he will become their friend. He stole that plant with heavy heart, knowing that he is doing something wrong, and he swore in that same moment to find a way to make it up to FL for doing that. I mean, you know, with some characters it's not always about doing the right thing. Some characters will do wrong things and know full well they are in the wrong, and try to make amends for the rest of their lives, some will know it's wrong and won't care, but will usually get punished for that... and then... we have the kind who is totally unaware they even did anything wrong. If you look at it from his perspective, stealing one plant from a stranger girl, a big no one from the Continental World, who is an easy prey and could be finished by lower demons, bears not much importance to the 1000+ years-old King of The Aquatic Demon World, as he is on the important mission of saving his brother and protecting his realm.. yet he felt bad, and he let her use him on a few occasions as she pleases/ helped both FL and ML and befriended them ( and I have a feeling he will constantly help them throughout their challenges )( he didn't get close to FL to use her, he wanted to confirm her true identity..It seems he is searching for aquatic queen or something like that,. but even after he found out FL is not the one, he continuously helps both FL and ML, and protects them, and is truly concerned for their well-being as their friend
). The matter of the fact is, they have to take advantage of any opportunity or they will cease, the balance between realms is unstable and more events will take place which will damage it even more + we don't know their stories and pains or all the things they lost or of the injustices they had to bear( maybe by other demons, maybe even to humans like her). The debate ' does the cause excuse the means' is always present in philosophy and in life, and is even more highlighted when one needs to do something immoral to protect the ones he loves.
In any case, don't let these bother you so much, enjoy the story :) Life is often unfair and a part of that is shown in the dramas, too. I hope you won't give up on the drama because of that :)

Storyline is full of reincarnations, time turning events ( Remember the Evil Demon Queen and her son? He lost his power and returned to being baby). We don't know about all of ML identities and reincarnations, as he himself is clueless about his background and needs the sword to finally realize it. We will have to be patient and see how it all unfolds.

Knowing all that, I think it's not impossible for cloak figure to be his past life ( some sort of time travelling, time reversing thing), or even, some sort of power seal. He says to FL " But by that time, I will no longer be here." ( as in, by the time you grow up, I will no longer be present in my current form). Lu Li is only his current reincarnation, while Luo Ge is his immortal form ( but I would say he has many).

My wild guess is that he is some ultimate Demon or forgotten God, who is in some sort of opposition to our heroine, hence why such strong opposing core energies between the two. It is strongly implied their destinies are entwined, she is the key for him to get the sword and realize who he truly is, but it is also mentioned it is their destiny to kill each other. So far, from the opening scenes and story itself, one could say they meet briefly in every life and love each other, but can't remain together due to their destiny. From the beginning of the story, she is presented as pure, white, chosen one, that easily attracts ancient Gods to help and give her power, while she also attracts most vile demons to attack her. It is said he is some sort of half-demon.

This drama is absolutely beautiful. Please, give it a try and see for yourself :) I saw many people in the early comments simply not getting it and hence, not feeling good about it. I think we have to accept we won't know everything right away, that we need to be patient and let the story gracefully develop and reveal itself. However, there are a lot of hints of exactly what is about to happen down the line, the main story, so to speak. That basic story is easy to see and understand, but there are multiple stories and layers to all of that, as in this Universe we have : the realm of demons, immortals and humans, and we also have reincarnations, plus many influential figures, and so far, we don't know enough about them, so there is a lot to discover in the upcoming episodes, in regards to that. In my eyes, the complexity of this Universe does not take away from the basic story, especially the beautiful love story that is developing between the two main characters. Symbolism is also very powerful and I absolutely love it.

You're completely right. It wouldn't be so fun or engaging. Chatting with you actually reminded me why I like them so much as well :) It's not about logic or realistic things, it's about the atmosphere and emotions they give you. Actually, they usually give me those warm feelings to fill the void and even the strength to face tomorrow when I'm down or tired.

hahahhahahah oh my god XD yes! that was the ultimate wtf moment xD I cringed hard and laughed on sadfishing first XD and then !!! XD hahahhaha well...they're kinda oddly balanced in that matter... you get super super super and then... O_O wtf who would act like this? xD like super smart but then super dumb/immature at certain moments. And all his super whatever are totally buried when he sadfishes xD or does something unbelievably dumb, but then you laugh and you're entertained. Yeah I agree on everything you said! I also imagine them like that XD hahah I also think no one should get advice from dramas but...I think they will still try to offer some,regardless XD

I was pissed too XD I was like ok, she should now turn her back on you and return to her cold self and not waste another minute on you XD but I know this is a typical phase in drama where they just make ML look like a jerk only to show later everything was just a big misunderstanding. Maybe that's like a contrast tactics thing? You thought he's jerk but look how hard he's actually fighting to make you happy lol aaaawwww lol

hahahah guys, why don't you get it? It's the wrath of a jealous woman. She doesn't have to make that coffee and bring it for them..she WANTS to do that. Why? Because she's dying to see what is going on inside the office and get as many clues to analyze as possible. Plus, she gets some of her anger out of her system by making coffee horrible XD Male lead just cluelessly asks her to do him a favor. He's like please help me out this is important deal I have to make. (spoiler : he's focused more on cherishing her dream and saving the dating app than on her current emotions - and I think he's clueless about how frustrated she actually is.. he doesn't know she thinks that is his ex gf. )

Also, come on..She is not weak for this. This is typical feeling of jealousy when super hot chick gets too close to your man. It's normal. It's bound to happen sooner or later in relationship. I agree with Kayes she's not weak,she's just in love..and to actually be in love and fully experience it,you have to be vulnerable and experience some uncomfortable moments and feelings,too.
My problem with her is kinda stupid behavior like those love charts and from what I see she's gonna be hot and cold until the very end.

I do agree with you John, but it's really naive and kiddish thinking and behavior that I have to see it as no less than clownish. But I understand the how and why(also agree it's for the plot and comedy). I like slightly more mature thinking and behavior even for drama standards...still,it was enjoyable watch :) I actually really like how male lead becomes so dedicated and works to be better,I really love his new, more mature version. And I get FL a lot. But I can see that she's gonna be hot and cold until the very end. .it kinda gets a bit old at this point.. I thought we're past that...but okay...I'm not gonna comment further for now..I'll wait and see through actual episodes.. My problem with Xu is not that he's boring...I actually find him a bit funny sometimes.. when he looks at them all like a dead fish...or wtf did you do ..or oh no not this again... My problem with him is that he's supposed to be more mature...but in essence..he's really not - he was kinda shallow to me a bit and just as clueless as others XD (I witnessed this in real life too..from people I thought were older so ofc wiser and super mature lol -what a mistake !). Idk this drama has a certain vibe and atmosphere for me, so this time that's enough. I can forgive their foolishness because they all develop and have redeeming qualities.
Also, I really love their cute and fluffy moments and I love the opening song ^^ can't stop listening ~
Ah..I'll add this too...I think they wanted to give some useful advice to young people watching this drama...so they used that Dating app as the center of the story...

This type of show is best to watch lightheartedly, without thinking too much about it...although I agree. They are clowns XD Well...mixture of being immature and unaware of themselves and their feelings. FL doesn't take her own feelings too seriously and is immensely inexperienced and let's say - naive. To her, even her own feelings are unclear and she continuously minimizes it - not even sure if it's friendship or light crush - as it doesn't matter to her - all her focus is on her job. But let's be fair towards her - she openly said it : I don't know how to date or love. I don't know what love is. My job is important and it always comes first. So, from this, you can kinda get her viewpoint - I don't really know about romantic feelings. I don't truly and deeply have them, and even if I did, I still wouldn't have time for them(plus I'm kinda scared lol). So,I think she mixes up her admiration and maybe intellectual attraction towards Mr. Xu. She thinks she kinda likes him,he is her role model and someone who is perfect 'on paper', but in reality, she later on realizes she doesn't truly have feelings for him and quite honestly and directly tells him 'no'. Obviously, someone who is so unsure and someone who doesn't care about her own feelings, can't care too deeply about others' feelings. And even if she was somewhat more aware, can't really blame her, as two other male characters constantly had some other girls around them, especially Mr.Xu and I wouldn't take them seriously either - it's just like these two dudes that I sometimes have flirtatious encounters with lol. This younger boy ( God knows what's in his immature head) and this older dude who seems good on paper but he's rather busy and with other girls and I'm unsure about him and my feelings for him. It's something like that I imagine.So ofc she goes out sometimes with them and spends some time with them but they are contacts from work ...so .. (I don't count times when ML self imposes on her..I count the times when she actually intiates spending time with them in general)...Then we have our wonderfully immature male lead who really doesn't know what the frick is he doing, which complicates things even more XD His style is of 12-year-old boy XD She annoys me but she's gorgeous and I fell for her, but let me pretend I'm her buddy and set her up with another man and even - teach - her how to seduce him. In reality I'm gonna try to control and sabotage everything because I want her for myself. Well, at least he knows whom he likes hahah. I applaud him for his character development though. He confessed openly and really gave his best to be a proper partner and support to his love interest,he really tried hard to make himself a better,more mature person...and he recognizes his own immaturity-which is a big one(most people can't do that). The reason why he continues to chase her - I think- is because he can sense their chemistry when they're together and he really does take good care of her in every aspect and notices everything before anyone else...his constant efforts and her reactions probably give him a sense of encouragement he needs. If he saw that Mr.Xu and FL really started something, I think he would give up...but I don't think he takes Xu seriously as he once asked him - where were you until now if you loved her so much?- and he has a point(in other words you don't truly love her,I do). Like I mentioned Xu is always in his own problems with his own girls and it comes as no surprise that he kinda falls for that Li Yan Ran girl(and he probably actually liked her from the beginning, not FL)..so everything falls into its rightful place later on. If you want to skip most of the drama and complications, you can just enjoy in beautiful and fluffy scenes around 17-18 ep until the end lol I mostly watch these types of dramas with clownish stories for pure aesthetics
