In Life As We Know It main couple's biggest fight was related to Holly's belief that Messer doesn't love her back. Sam, SML left on his own after he saw that he has no room to compete.
I wonder if they'll keep that element in Our Universe. I think they might since they included yellow umbrella scene in episode 4.
Here's the thing. As frustating as Hyeon Jin's behaviour towards TH is in episode 4, it's pretty clear to me that she's trying to survive. So she's rather spend more time trying to establish herself at new job (the job her sister wanted her to get, by the way) with SML who is pure nostalgia, than with Tae Hyeong - the man she already has feelings for, but who is about to move out in a couple of weeks.
TH does most of the heavy lifting with Woo Joo, she might belive it's only for the baby.
I was expecting a cute adaptation of Life As We Know It movie but to me this kdrama is already so much more to me. The core of the story is still there, but what I like the most about Our Universe excluding the kid ofc, is the duality between the leads.
Episode 3, on one hand delivered their best banter to date, but on the other hand, as they become used to their new daily rutine, we watch Tae Hyeong grow more and more worried for Hyeon Jin.
Finally, he decides to take the object that reminds him of his brother to earn the money, so FL will no longer be getting sick. To me, it's both the beginning of TH healing but it's the first step towards becoming a photographer again.
I love that there are no romantic underdones from ML yet.
Episode 4 will most likely change that dynamic, but I appreciate what they did in the previous episode.
Episode 3 preview: Unless they butched the translation, it seems like Tae Hyeong refers to Woo Joo as OUR BABY when he is annoyed with a sticky note from Hyeon Jin.
Yes, he's venting and he's basically taking to himself, but if it's true it's a major slip up. Little does Tae Hyeong know, he's already already a goner. CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT EPISODES!
Love triangle is a very important part in the story Our Universe is based on. In Life As We Know it, before the tragedy, Holly aka the FL has a long term crush on Sam. She believes He's her perfect man, but she doesn't have his number. But taking care of Sophie with Messer and living with him completely changes her perspective.
When she finally goes on a date with Sam things don't go as planned. There's a similar moment in Our Universe trailer.
However, based on the first 2 episodes, in my opinion, it's likely that Hyeon Jin will fall first for Tae Hyeong . We're just at the beginning of their story, but he's been so helpful since the funeral. He just moved in yet he already started changing empty house into a home. Most likely, without even realising it. Yet...
More episode 1 thoghts: Woo Joo's introduction is just everything. He chose Tae Hayeong as his favorite available adult the moment he saw him at the funeral hall. Hyeon Jin's accident prevents ML from leaving quickly. He sticks around solely for the baby in his own unusual way.
But when FL came back from the hospital Tae Hayeong could have easily sneaked out, but chose to stay AGAIN as the chief mourner and stayed for 3 days but being asked about raising a toddler he just met was too much, too quickly. Strong episode, imho
I'm glad that I did myself a favour and decided to watch the two first episodes together. I'm currently 40 minutes in episode 1. The very last words Tae Hayeong to his brother were: Let's never see each other again" and they came true., Seon U Ju parents died at their anniversary? That's just brural.
I really loved episode 9. Jae Gyu made one joke in episode 3... Little did he kmow that it'll cause a domino effect. They were never casual and the villigers paid attention. ...and compared their I liked that reveal. I'm glad that there was just one teacher who was against it.
2nd leads finally act like teens again. SML betreyed FL for nothing, imho. Because she never liked him anyway and I suspect Bom's mother will like Jae Gyu. Just like the villigers did once they spent some time with him.
Btw, I was right. Yun was hoping it might be an engagement ring. The way she shook the box was always suspicious to me. She's down bad. She was holding it in as long as she could, but now Yun is just a fool in love.
Personally, I don't see any space for a love triangle. Yun only her feelings for her gentle giant.

Yes, technically SML saved Yun but it was Jae Gyu who cought the sign. Later, it's revealed why she came into the typhoon instead of looking for a shelther. Yun reveals she stayed back to grab the blue box that Jae Guyu gave her, because it's the very first gift from him. Ultimately, it's another really good episode for them and they kiss again.
After episode 7 Yun and Jae Gyu are slowly becoming one of my favorite comfort couples. Even though they promised themselves to wait 2 years, but they aready got busted by someone. Jae Gyu picked her up at night and stayed with her till midnight. Yun ended asking him for a hug anyway. I hope today's episode won't destroy it. They better be be able to openly date soon enough.

There are more signs that HJ fancies TH. Like double checking that they're gonna live together for a month. Imho, he seems more worried for now.
2) it's been just days and it seems like he's helping with Woo Joo all the time,
3) He implies that he's in a relationship with Hyun Jin to the neighbour,
4) He refers to HJ as his wife in a text to a landlord,
5) He hides from his friends what his side job was really about.
I wonder how much time will pass untill they realise that they've already started building a family.
What I like about Our Universe so far. Is that it keeps the key elements of the story, while keeping it fresh.
