Aww I love that you also got so affected by this Lakorn! Like how can you not root for Ja? And Tom? I feel like the thing a great piece of fiction can do is make an impact on you and teach you to be empathetic for characters that you don't even know what it's like being in their shoes.
I saw those comments too and honestly I think either those were viewers who they themselves are dead inside sadly and lack empathy in general, or had people who got hurt by people that resembled Ja and Tom and their behaviors.
Because I don't get it either. How do you believe rape and severe emotional and physical abuse is the way to punish ANYONE.

Completely agree I'm also frustrated with this it gets annoying after a while but the thing about her not loving Tay, I think there's another aspect to it - I feel like she's so insecure and hates herself so she dates people like Tim and Ton. People who are actually not emotionally available, instead of someone loving and who pays attention like Tay, a good guy so to speak, because of her own insecurities. She feels like those are the guys she deserves. And if she truly opens her heart with Tay she feels like Tay deserves better than her. when you get abused, when you've gone through traumatic shit this happens. So while it's frustrating I also get where she's coming from.
The problem with this show is that all the relationships are shallow. Pitch slept with Matt, cheated on Eve but they keep portraying him as a good guy. Tim is the only one who's at least honest that he's a bad person! Giwi too, I feel bad for her because all she's known is people with money having any power so she refuses to open her heart to anyone and chooses money over everything else but like I said at least Giwi and Tim's characters are relatable for that reason, and neither of them say they're good people.
The things people did to Mim are also terrible and I feel bad especially the way that one past mistake keeps getting in her way. And I do ship her with the cop (Tay) but forget about the plot holes and unrealistic stuff, I'm not going to get into that, this is guilty pleasure entertainment and I'm fine with that.
But I really wished they deepened Matt's character in general, and his relationship with Pitch because that's how you raise the stakes. This show is failing at this so far and it's actually one of those makjang like plot which could have been entertaining but so far it's just meh.

Well the characters nevr got together in the original but really got close n it was kinda beautiful to watch. But I'm not into this version so it's not really working for me
