Xianxia laws are harsh. Sovereign Lords can fall in love but forbidden to be with their love. They gotta die for…
i thought too, but in the one i can't recall, the immortals aren't allowed to love. but in Starry Love, the main plot was finding a spouse for the crown prince so its not that.
Mu Qingge pushed him away because she didn't want others to know he's the demon child. As Ranran, she never pushed…
thank you for elaborating. all i know is they keep pushing each other away. and as for ranran, she doesn't understand it all now, but when she recovers her memories as MQG, i'm sure she's gonna be like SYS pushing her lover away. they are so frustrating to watch. it's so angsty. but they look so good together so we're staying and suffering for their love (cries in anguish).
It's been so long since I've seen a couple that loves each other so hard but tries different ways to be distant. I love you so much but I can't be with you. like, why? why do you have to push each other away when you both clearly love each other.
@Isabella Snow I agree entirely. I also wonder if part of the Li's plan was to help LeShan to grow up and make…
That’s a given. Remember that part shou hua let Le Shan sit down after the confrontation. She was going to explain why they did that to Yang Xian. but we didn’t see their conversation. the others were there on the table too. DYX, QN,Madam Li, FLH and FH. it was very subtle, but if you could see their side eyes and snickers. they were really just pretending to be mean. i guess that’s how they portray a mother’s love. because it was all Madam Li’s plan, yet they didn’t explain it well to viewers. really bizarre.
The Li's were smug and arrogant forcing him to leave but also to divorce Leshan (as an insurance policy in case…
although i still believe the good intention on the part of the Li’s, i agree with you that the writers didnt write this part well. Maybe they had rushed a bit on the scenes. For me, there were missing parts that really could have explained well what was happening. I wished we could have seen how they planned it out, because the way it was wrote, makes it seem the Li’s are bad guys.
Buat later Yang Xian said that he understand, for what li family di, they scam him for 1000 guan, buat Chai An…
they did not show us the scene that played after that confrontation. they were all up to something. Even madam Li, smiled right after sending YX away. and she said something about “did i do well?” le shan was furious and was going to follow YX. They laughed at her again and Fu Hui said something about “you’ve grown up, now you know the drill” Shou Hua then let her sit down and held her shoulders was about to explain why they did that to YX. Then it was cut off. the next scene, YX was at Chai An’s. a continuation of their plan. It seems Kangning was the one doing the explaining why they had to be harsh to YX. but i didn’t get it at first too. it would have been better if it was Madam Li who explained it for the sake of the viewers.
Buat later Yang Xian said that he understand, for what li family di, they scam him for 1000 guan, buat Chai An…
It was all planned by Madam Li. Watch the start of ep 34, she was discussing with FLH, DYX and Chai how to help Yang Xian. She was shocked at the suggestion of FLH to get leshan to divorce. DYX and Chai An also protested, but DYX mentioned that Yang family woes is not over.
It was not acted out but what's really happening is that their Royal Consort daughter was involved in the queen's deposement. There was a large royal conspiracy at play.
What they discussed afterwards was not shown, but the next we're shown was them plotting to send Yang Xian away with money.
My guess, was Madam Li, decided that it would be best for Yang Xian to be away from the capital with all the royal conspiracy targeting his sister and his family. The evildoers will not stop at trying to bring them down. So they had to send him away, dramatically lol. They gave him money and challenged him to prove himself. For his own good and for Le Shan too.
I didn't expect Winwin to act so well towards the finale. He had a great redemption arc. His character during the earlier eps was shallow. Then when his family drama was folding out, his expressions were full of emotions. You can tell he loves his family, even if he has resentment against them. He was effective as a tortured hero. A total turn around. It's very clear interms of acting he could express his emotions better than his pair, the actress for Le Shan is still young (and i didn't like her make-up lol). But she was iconic for portraying the wild Le Shan. Yang Xian is a 3d character, wow.
I had a same doubt...did his majesty accepted back or what he did I'm curious
The whole palace thing was told in exposition during the discussion in the Yang family. The queen then, and another consort were quarrelling. Yang's sister consort Jielu, tried to calm them, the emperor intervened and was hurt by the empress. She got deposed. And the ministers didn't take this well, (due to politics, the harem is as vital to the politics in the palace). Consort Jielu was implicated. Emperor had no choice send her to a temple to be a nun. It's implied he still care for her, there were guards protecting her at the temple. In the final ep, she helped convict the corrupt official who was causing chaos in the kingdom. There were child trafficking, kidnapping of girls, graft and corruption. She stood as whistleblower. The emperor probably took her back, reinstate her as a royal consort after the evil minister was gone.
Does anyone know what happened to Yang Xian's sister? the one who is in the palace as a concubine/consort (can't…
She helped defeat the evil minister who was corrupt and making the emperor look bad to the kingdom. The emperor still cares for her, but he had no choice but to send her to a temple to become a nun because the ministers were pressuring him after the queen was deposed (this is what happened i think). Maybe she will be returned to the palace by the emperors side once everything settles.
I got that too but felt it was too much to put him through. I did not like that when he came back Leshan did not…
Yes. i understand ... but come look at it. there's a difference with him doing servant work, just to make ends meet. Compared to him doing servant work, when he's truly rich, just to court his wife.
It's ironic, because remember their relationship started when she asked for his help to save 4th sister but he blackmailed her to serve him for 3 years. Then by the finale, she teased him with the 3 years as a servant - dejavu. He kidnapped her for their wedding. Then by the ending she kidnaps him for their wedding. It's like their love language servitude and kidnapping. 😭
YX had already fall from grace, why the need for another push for him to fall deeper? To send him away to do business…
They didn't push him to fall deeper. They said hurtful words to make him have stronger determination to prove himself. That's what i think. As you said he was down. Like a burnt pile of ashes. They gave him funds and then they said hurtful words to him to ignite him. Like a kindle to start a fire. And for the record, it didn't have to be high seas, that was just Chai An's suggestion. Trading across the seas was really common during those times and a great way to earn money and gain experience. If they babied him, he would only become weaker. It's in his nature, he's very reactive like Le Shan. Sending him away to do his own business was a great strategy. He had potential in that way. It was not fair to Le Shan as well, she would be separated from her beloved. But no pain, no gain. And she was mean to him. Missing him was her lesson.
By comparison, what is not nurturing for example if you have watched Flourished Peony, Liu chang and King Ning. As a father-in-law, King Ning should do what's best for his daughter, but what he did instead, was restrain Liu Chang as a son-in-law, treat him without dignity, as long as the guy is by his daughter's side, it was enough for him. He didn't care about Liu Chang's dignity, and spoiled his own daughter rotten. That's why they are the villains in that story. Unlike the Li family, they conspired in order to make the youngest son-in-law a better man,

since they all have Madam Li’s favor, how they gonna get the brother to their side.

her name is yang yue niang

honestly, it felt awful seeing him prepare those lychees and sell those hats. He was at his best when he rode horses and wielding an arrow.
