Kim Jung Hyun was so perfect as the male lead. And the writer did a wonderful job of adapting to his leaving the drama due to health. KJH is now on my short list of must watch actors.
I enjoyed the drama until the very end. I just wish the character of the 2nd female lead could have had a little more personality/life to her. But the writer may have been trying to portray how for some of those that have everything, their life can seem a little like going through the motions and trying to protect what you have/what others think of you. In this drama, almost everyone was going through their lives without any affection/caring until Cheon Soo Ho decided to make a change to his life and Seol Ji Hyun refused not to give up looking for the truth.
It's been almost a week since I finished Mr. Sunshine and I'm still missing it. 24 episodes and long episodes that didn't drag and made me want more. I know I really love a drama when I start pacing my watching because I don't want it to end and this was so true of Mr. Sunshine. Special thanks to Byun Yo Hun. Misaeng was another drama I never wanted to end and I really didn't like Byun Yo Hun's character in it, until I grew to absolutely love him. And he nails the same thing in Mr. Sunshine. Mr. Sunshine - an epic beautiful Kdrama.
Another Korean K drama where I was amazed at the acting skills of the child actor. The show is a master class in what it means to be a mother. Beautiful.
I don't usually like this type of movie but I enjoyed it. I started watching because 1) it was on Netflix and 2)I knew there were references to G-Dragon - so funny how they incorporated references to him/Kpop in the movie (and bonus the ending credits have his song MIssing You - one of my favs). Another thing I appreciated was getting a little more background on why there are 2 Koreas.
This is a beautiful drama. An 8.0 rating is very low and doesn't reflect the quality of the show. I watched it with my husband and he usually limits me to 1 episode a day, but with this one we watched 2 a day. We both needed tissues.
