I won't say namping is an excellent actor but I would say he didn't overdo things. Because actors who are not…
"i feel like we need to factor in the fact that khem had the ability to see ghosts all his life which probably upped his fear factor a bit *and* knew about his impending death for a while. "
I do have some questions, though, RE: Peem / being a shaman.
1) So while he was a full-fledged shaman, he was supposed to remain celibate?
2) ^^^^ If yes, how was it OK for him and Khem to have that one night where they.......manually took care of each other's needs?
3) When Peem lost his powers, he could THEN have sex?
------> Ep 12 @ the 1:02:52 mark "Whatever I couldn't do when I was a shaman, I can do it now."
4) But only for that extremely narrow window of time before he started the 5-year RE-study to be a shaman again? Do trainees have to be celibate?
5) RE: Chan and Jet - if they were considered trainees, were they also supposed to be celibate?
6) Back to Peem - After the 5 year re-training period was over and he was a full shaman again......was he supposed to continue to abstain from sex? Even though he was married to Khem at that point?
I feel like this is one of those few dramas where the ending didn't feel rushed. And I liked the little epilogue that rounded the story out at the end. That was great.
While I did have some quibbles with the series, overall I really enjoyed it. I'm glad I watched it.

I think Namping would be able to act any way he was directed to act.
But I feel like the director completely let the character of Khem down in that regard. Khem's current incarnation is not even close to the energy of his original female incarnation back during the war. SHE was lively and emotionally engaged.
Is anyone else as frustrated with how WIMPY Khem is? How he's so listless and dispassionate about EVERYTHING?
He barely showed any emotion when Peem was getting swarmed and beaten up by the undead creatures. When he walked (calmly, with no emotion) down the steps to talk to Ramphuemg, he just.....it just......UGH. There is NO concern for Peem in his voice at all. He didn't even PLEAD for Peem's life. He just said..."Please stop." He could have just as easily been ordering a hamburger. No, actually, he probably would have shown more interest in the hamburger.
LOL - Winny plays the PERFECTLY cranky character in this series. I love his cranky face so much, especially when he was riding in the motorcycle's sidecar on the way to the hospital. He cracked me up.
I liked this series a lot. It was dark, but I actually expected it to be a lot darker. And I also expected an ugly, violent end. VERY happy that I was wrong.
I'm NOT happy that the Dad didn't face any consequences for terrorizing and abusing Saenkaew all those years, as well as trying to kill Sasin.
I swear, if that man does not spend the REST OF HIS LIFE atoning for that crap, I hope Karma catches up with him and kicks his ass all the way to Hell.
It's frustrating that the cast list is missing some of the actors' names.
But doing a Google search......I think the actor playing "Earth" is Kittidech Phupatarawut. (Let me know if I'm wrong about that.)
I can't find much info about him, but does anyone else see a resemblance between him and the actor Progress Passawish Thamasungkeeti, who was in LoveSick 2024?
Ep 12 contains one of the STUPIDEST and most infuriating lines I have ever heard in a drama, BL or otherwise.
After beating and psychologically abusing his son for YEARS, continuously guilt-tripping him and ranting about how he will RUIN the rest of the family if he tries to be happy and live his own life, blaming his son for his wife's death, ordering his men to follow his son everywhere, imprisoning him inside the house, trying to kill his son's lover, not really giving a crap that his son tried to slit his own throat, vowing to stalk his son for the rest of his life to make sure he's complying with the father's orders, and forcing his son into a loveless marriage despite knowing he's gay.......the father looks at a photo of his dead wife and says:
"Soon our son will be normal, right?"
I about lost it when I heard that. Un-fucking-real.
And I agree with your observation about the terminology describing Khem, taking his past incarnation as a woman into acct.
Good point.
But still!! lol

Or am I mixing things up?
Someone please clarify for me, thank you.

Good grief.
It's alarming and infuriating how lenient the court was on him.

He watched and purchased child porn for YEARS, in addition to harassing the victim who reported him.
