I've been wanting DARK vampire BLs, not comedies (which seem to be so common in the vampire BL category. UGH).
But the poster at the top of this page is really bad and makes it look like the series is going to be a comedy. PLEASE please please let that NOT be the case.

EDIT - now I've seen the trailer, and I'm hopeful.
So far, the only male figure who did not suffer being around Mi Jeong was her Dad. He did die, but not because of any "witchiness" on her part. They lived together for years safely, while at the same time, other male figures around her were getting hurt / dying.
Her Dad didn't get hurt or die because of her, since he loved his daughter like a father and not as a romantic interest, and she loved him right back.
According to the list of criteria Dong Jin has worked out......if he's able to get her to love him, he will be safe.
But in order to protect any other men she encounters in her daily life, will she still have to lead a mostly secluded existence the way she is right now?
Or......if she's out in public but also with Dong Jin at the same time, will his presence negate any risk to others?
And will we get any sort of explanation for how she became a witch in the first place?
WHYYYYYYY in so many Asian dramas (but espec K-dramas) do drivers not know how to use their brakes when they see someone standing or walking in the road??
Instead of slowing down or braking, it actually seems like they SPEED UP!!!
for people who are confused why her dad died he died because he sucked the snake venom from her daughter feet…
Yes, after I watched that scene I had to think about it for a few minutes until I realized what happened.
In an earlier scene it's explained that his character had severe gum disease, so when he tried to suck the venom from her ankle where she'd been bitten, the venom penetrated his diseased gums, got into his system and killed him.
Yes! A role reversal of sorts would be fun to watch. I read a translation of what I think was a fairly recent…
But the "bratty son" concept is not what I had in mind.
Mafia is good, though. Or something equally as dark.
I mean Noeul as a character who's really antagonistic, someone who can hold his own against Boss - both of them dangerous, both volatile, both with an IDGAF attitude (like Noeul in his S2 videos), and extremely passionate.
Have any of you seen Noeul's S2 rap videos? They are so good, and his character in those videos is the polar opposite of the characters he plays in his BL series.
I want Noeul to play THAT kind of character in his next series with Boss. I want them to CLASH and FIGHT and ARGUE and CHALLENGE EACH OTHER and then MAKE UP in the most intense way possible.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give him a major attitude, make him a red flag.....SOMETHING to add more spice to his on-screen personality, because he and Boss really need to break out of this rut they might potentially get stuck in, character-wise.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, check out his music videos:
The whole subplot with the insane mother, absentee father and infrequently-appearing brother has been strange and off-putting throughout the whole series. The last episode didn't help that impression at all. UGH.
Other than that, the series was decent. Not great, but decent.
But it left a lot of unanswered questions at the end and felt completely unfinished.

They used my synopsis! I hope people find it more helpful than the previous (incorrect) one someone else wrote.
In an earlier scene it's explained that his character had severe gum disease, so when he tried to suck the venom from her ankle where she'd been bitten, the venom penetrated his diseased gums, got into his system and killed him.
But they did! Ha!
It's WELL past time for a new direction.

Toward the end it just became bizarre, and there was some truly gratuitous and frankly, gross, stuff in some scenes. It was......ugh.
And the squeezed-in-at-the-last-moment sub-sub-sub plot with Sangmin's mother / parents........????? Uhhhh......... ???? Just weird and unnecessary.
I gave it a 4.
Such a shame, because the first half was kinda cute and enjoyable.
