I have managed to binge watch the series. I am in two minds about it. I liked that it was different took me through different emotions. Touched on a lot of issues within family like sexuality, jealousy, anger and trauma. It was a good effort. I know a lot of people don’t like the ending at least there is mixed reviews about it but i found the ending fitting is some ways and weird and strange in others. The strong feeling being weird. To be frank its almost as though it ended with a three way relationship between Tarn, Nut and Tofu the teddy bear.
WHAT I DDINT LIKE- - Nut and how he was as a son to his mum. His mother was clearly ill but he had no regard and treated her harshly through most of the series. Pretty much ignored her. -His treatment of Tofu, Tofu was used as physical and emotional punching bag and it did nt change through the whole series . I found this disturbing, its clear he had issues but all he did was lash out. -The lack of consequences for the guilty parties is ridiculous. - No real explanation on how on earth Tofu looked like Neung?? I mean come on. - WHY DID WE HAVE TO HAVE LESBIAN RELATIONSHIP JUST THROWN IN THERE??
Would i rewatch- nope. Is it work investing 16 x1.5hrs of my life somewhat, OST unmemorable.
I wasn’t sure about this series but boy am i glad u stuck with it. It’s been really good. I still think that stalker behaviour should not be encouraged and this series does encourage a bit of that, however we know that stalking can be sinister- I hope they address it before the series ends
JOON is a whole meal but kudo’s to the casting team on dunk.He is perfect for this role. I really like this series its been done before but feels really fresh
I have recently started this, I have to be honest i am not impressed with Nut’s character. Poor Tofu is constantly verbally ad physically abused by Nut. He is awful to his mum mwho is genuinely ill. I hate that he is the type of person that doesn’t deal with issues but lashes out at people. I hope this changes as the series progresses don’t want them to normalise this behaviour.
Try it out till now it is developing well according to me.
I will try and be a bit more patient. So that there are a few more episodes. I hate waiting and I am currently going through the waiting game for. The next episode to air with star in my mind and cutie pie. I should not have started them until they had concluded now I am constantly rewatching episodes 😭😭💔
Don’t bother -unless you really have nothing to do and even then you probably enjoy rewatching a good drama than this train wreck. You have been warned
I am waiting to start this. I loved bank and bonus as couple and felt like they were the best couple in their last show. I AM TRYING TO BE PATIENT BUT LOSING THE BATTLE!! I may end up giving in especially after seeing so many positive reviews
I love Chap and green but no amount of good looking actors can carry a poor production and execution. This show had so much potential but unfortunately didnt have the right production. It came in with a different story and there was so much that they could have done with it but it fell flat. It’s worth watching but its 5/10 for me. I think if this was a Mandee/ plant/gmmtv production it would have been fire!!!
The things that go through my mind when watching this, good looking actors check, poor story and character development check. I would have loved if the director of say lovely writer had this and pulled it off. I was so looking forward to a different story mental illness, daddy issues, fathers had history. They had so much to work with but the production team just didnt use it well. The episodes are so short that it feels really choppy and doesn’t make sense.
