Isn't he like 2 years older than her? Not sure how they'd be part of the same class but either way it doesn't matter. Not really interested in the dating politics of celebrities unless they themselves confirm it. Just noticing how people tend to dig into the private life of celebrities once a drama couple picks up steam (in this case YAMG). Not just on here but other platforms as well people are bringing back old news of YY/QX unnecessarily.

About to start this for the Cheng Yi x Mickey He dynamic. I loved their relationship so much in Love and Redemption and wish that dynamic was explored more. Hoping they have lots of scenes together in this drama in any capacity 🤞🏾

I really liked him in 'I Don't Want to be Friends with You'

So I remember watching this a while back but ended up falling off when 2nd lead guy came in and started pissing me off with his presence. Thinking of picking this back up. The leads had a ridiculous amount of chemistry. They were sizzling while also pretty cute together. I had to double check to see if they were both married...that's how much chemistry they had 😅

The official weibo account says that this movie is expected to premier in January 2022

I finished this a bit ago and totally forgot to update my thoughts. A show that I initially enjoyed and even spoke positively about some comments back became bogged down by an unnecessary episode count and a turn in storyline in the second half. Add to that an absolutely loathsome and pathetic character in Yao Ke and my initial score of 8.5 dropped down to a 7.

I actually had to push myself to finish this drama when the first 15 or so episodes I was plowing through happily. The main couple was super cute tho and my main motivation to finish the drama. The acting generally ranged from good to OK. Landy Li is such a natural actor. I loved watching her. Also loved Niu Jun Feng and Han Jiu Nuo.

Please give him a main lead role. I hope he won't stay relegated to supporting roles. He's too good for that.

I believe this is from the production team behind 'I Don't Want to Be Friends with You' and having just completed that drama this has me excited. It did extremely well on Douban, also (Top 8 for 2020 dramas).

Also, Duan Xiao might quite literally be the definition of a perfect tv boyfriend/male character since Pacey Witter as far as I'm concerned.

I have more to say as I've JUST completed the drama but for now, a gem of a show that was by no means perfect. I'll add a spoiler for my thoughts later.

I think I have a higher tolerance for actresses because they are generally always held to a higher standard and receive way more criticism than male actors. I looked up Gulinazha after having completed RTWTY and was actually shocked at how bashed she is. She's not a fave of mine but I'm rooting for her to prove naysayers wrong. Her potential is there.

Olivia Wang and Wang Kai are paired together in OTJ . If you liked their chemistry in 'When a Snail Falls in Love' you'll get a kick out of them in OTJ.

As far as Gulinazha, my impression of her is simply based on what I've seen in dramas because I don't know much about her outside of them. I usually just end up coming across her dramas because of other actors I'm interested in. I started 'Return the World to You' because of Yang Shuo (also in OTJ). I just end of feeling bad when I see people saying she ruins dramas. Too harsh imo.

Hahaha how funny. I actually watched a few of the stories from 'Legend of Nine Tails Fox'. I didn't see her storyline as I only started it for Qiao Xin. Another actress who is not the best but has been showing improvement. I assume since you watched LONTF for Wang Kai then you may have already seen 'Ode to Joy', which both Wang Kai and Qiao Xin are in.

I feel Gulinazha and Qiao Xin are in the same lane tbh. Only difference is I've actually watched all of Qiao Xin's dramas because I'm rooting for her to improve lol. I actually watched 'The Romance' because of the skits and I'm so happy she's really improved. I think her issue has mainly been a lack of charisma and the type of characters she's portrayed.

Funny enough, I actually started 'I Don't Want to be Friends with You' because her new drama is being directed by the same director and the male lead played Chen Jun He in the drama.

Omg I total got off topic and started rambling about Qiao Xin. My bad. I hope she's not one of the actresses you refuse to watch 😅. Althouh I could totally understand why if she is lol

Thank you! I'll start Twelve Legends after I finish 'I Don't Want to be Friends with You'. Amazing, underrated drama if you haven't already watched it.

You seem to be more versed on her projects than me as I've said I've only seen her in one drama. I might give Twelve Legends a looksy to see how she does. I just tend to think a lot of people give good-looking guys a pass on here for very meh "acting" while harshly judging the females. I've watched a good chunk of the popular c-actors that I've been less than impressed with which is most definitely not the general consensus lol. This actress isn't the best but also not as bad as a lot of people thinks she is, especially to dictate whether or not you'll watch a drama if she's the main fl. All my opinion tho.

I believe whether or not she dated or is dating him should remain private. It's really none of our business...not that I think you have any negative intentions for asking or anything.
