I hope kdramas will start doing minimalistic posters pls. They always stand out more. The first poster was BOMB…
Honestly. I understand that this drama has more than one lead but let's be real, this drama is mostly about Lee Ra El/Seo Yea Ji so the first poster was more than appropriate. Not to mention, better.

Same here. Not fully convinced based on 2nd teaser, but I hope it will be better. As you also mentioned, the influx…
I've just decided to temper my expectations and hope for the best at this point. I've come to trust Yea Ji's choices in drama scripts ever since 'Save Me' so I have faith in her. My only real concern is the writer, although I had the same reservations about IOTNBO because I thought that writers previous drama 'Jugglers' was very average but surprisingly IOTNBO was fabulous and is in my top 3 fav k-dramas. Although that writer definitely had a more solid base than anything I've seen from the writer of this drama 😅

Title Eve Spoiler
The synopsis posted on Viki is different and slightly more detailed so I'll post it under a spoiler tag for those…
Lee Ra El was a girl who idolized her loving parents - a highly intelligent father and a strikingly beautiful mother. But when cruel forces beyond their control causes her father's death, her family crumbles. Embittered by this terrible experience, she vows revenge on the super-rich people who orchestrated this terrible tragedy. Her prime target is Kang Yoon Kyum, the CEO of the lucrative LY group business empire, and one of the ringleaders of the plot that ultimately destroyed her family.

Lee Ra El's weapon of choice is divorce. By placing herself at the center of a legal battle worth a staggering USD 1.6 billion, she hopes to bring Kang Yoon Kyum and LY down once and for all. But in order to do so, she will need to wage a bitter legal struggle and fight powerful forces both inside and outside the courtroom. However, this plot has been in the pipeline for 13 years for Lee Ra El, who believes she will use her guile to catch Kang Yoon Kyum out when he least expects it. Can revenge bring her the satisfaction she craves - or will it end up consuming her?

Just curious, what more were you expecting??
Oh nothing really. Just a few days ago there was discussion about hoping mdl doesn't change posters to one not as good as the one that's currently up and I don't think the group poster is as good as the initial poster in terms of ambience and vibe. The new poster is more or less what I expected for a group poster but it doesn't stand out imo.

They just released a more generic poster with the full leading cast but it's not bad. At least they put a crown on Yea Ji's head lol

Same. It seems like many crazy things will happen. The question is if they have handled them good enough to be…
Don't quote me on it. I tried searching about it on Naver but that was too much to wade through 😅

I do think the concept is interesting, at least on paper. A woman sets out to marry a man in the 0.1% of society, who she believes orchestrated her father's death, with the intention of divorce and taking him for all he's worth. I can honestly say I haven't seen that quite yet in k-dramaland. Let's hope it's handled properly.

I didn't hate the teaser but it was more like, 'oh, it's one of those' thoughts lol. It was dramatic for me as well and it gave me flashbacks to the last drama of the writer's. I swear I have never seen such awful overdramatic acting from actors I genuinely have enjoyed in the past. If she does this to SYJ I will never forgive her 😅

I feel like I remember reading that this screenplay won an award or something when this project was first announced, so maybe the 5 years between the screenwriter's last work and this work will be a difference in quality.

Exactly. There's only so much that can be done within a genre before it becomes recycled so I'm hoping they find some way to make it fresh.

So watching the latest teaser has me hoping that they make this drama stand out for one in this genre which has really influxed the k-drama industry in the last few years. I really don't want a generic melodrama. I can't say I was convinced by the newest teaser although it was only 15 seconds.

Another thing is that I thought the writers most recent drama, 2018's The Good Witch' was abysmal in terms of writing, the over-the-top acting and the soap opera looking filming.

I hope I'm worried for no reason. Obviously hoping for the best for this production for all involved, but especially for Seo Yea Ji.

well is comedy, included so expect mix of genres, I just think they are mixing it well tho
Lol no, thayt totally makes sense. Korean comedy definitely leans more slapstick for my taste and way too much toilet humor tbh

What's wrong in it? If you can't afford the OTT platform go for free services. It doesn't matter cause the cast…
Thank you for the advice. I'll try this.

I personally don't like it because they're usually on sketchy sites with sketchy ads and they poach subs from other services. No judgement about those who watch on them tho. I, too, have watched on illegal sites.

So is this available to all Disney+ subscribers? I'm thinking about getting a subscription to watch this but want to make sure it's actually available before I do. I don't like having to watch things illegally lol

I understand the comedy aspect but comedy is broad with many types so I still hope it doesn't get too goofy for my personal tastes. A sequence in episode 3 definitely was heading down the daffy duck-esque route and it took me out of it a bit. But this is my personal opinion and I'm not knocking the show, it's pretty engaging so far. But not everything is gonna jive with someone 100% regardless of what the genre is tagged as.
