It's not just in looks, but mannerisms too. I find other actors that look similar but have never or have even mistaken one of the other but it doesn't stop me on believing in the character they were playing. But for whatever reason (maybe because this is the first time I've seen Ken Wu, but when he comes on, I'm like song san chuang on here?

Liking the drama so far except every time Ken Wu comes on my brain asks why does Wu Lei look off (they look so similar especially from the side) and it taking me out of the story. Anyone else find Ken Wu and Leo Wu look like twins?

Grr I'm frustrated. I went to Huace YouTube channel and paid for a subscription to watch this show. I got through the first 5 eps and now they've removed the videos. So I tried to do the right thing by paying the legitimate sites only to get cheated out of my money! Back to non legitimate sites, as they seem more reliable in getting the videos up.

Yes! That was my thought too, since I mostly watch C-dramas, it took me a while to get used to seeing ML and hearing Korean come out of him lol.

I liked it. I think if it wasn't for the fact that it was pitted against this drama and MLC it would have topped viewing charts. That being said, it does get a little draggy and weaker at the end. I was entertained but not worthy of a rewatch. It's not like this drama where I'm rewatching XL scenes while waiting for new eps hehe.

Why did Jing stop sending the green plum wine? Was it because he thought someone tampered with it? It didn't seem that clear, he saw one of the bottles didn't have the flowers on it. Or was he withholding it so XY could miss him?

I've been watching the mysterious lotus casebook. It's not fluffy romance but a good xuxia crime solving. It works since the schedules are reversed (Mon-Wed) I get to watch this show and Wed-Sun I have that show. Also watching Legend of Anle which is ending this week. Granted I will also revisit XY and XL scenes to hold me over hehe

The last 5 minutes of the drama especially the emperor scene is comedy gold! Seriously my favorite emperor in all the dramas I've watched. He is so many of us pining for LBY and CSS to get married and then be pissed to not witness the wedding. Favorite drama of the year so far.

Try Fight Breaks Sphere. He's also the main lead, it's the drama that made me see him as a hot leading man and not just a kid (and then feeling guilty to be crushing on a guy whose so much younger 🤣). Also loved him in Nirvana on Fire and Whirlwind Girl (but he was so young so just saw him as a great actor and enjoyed their performance).

There's a twist. He is actually the son of General Huo, his "mother" is actually his aunt.

Yes he knows he is the son of general Huo. In order to protect the line his "mother" traded her son for him, hence why he is so protective of her. At least that's how it goes within the novel.

It started out pretty interesting, but the plot has now entered a realm of ridiculous. Which is too bad, since I actually the main leads as actors, and feel like they are doing their best. But the script and/or editing they were given is really bad.

Wasn't expecting to spend my morning crying ugly tears. But wow, what an emotional ending to the drama. Such a long wait, but well worth it. Even bigger fan of XZ and YZ after this.

Did you miss the scene when LZX went to palliative care and saw the other dad son duo? Then she walks back to Dr.Gu and was like "I now understand why you wanted me to visit. It's because my dad doesn't want to spend his last days being treated like a terminally ill person". She DID spend a lot of time with her dad, her planning her wedding with her dad was a way for them to spend time together. Her dad was able to spend the little time he had left making beautiful memories together, instead of seeing his family depressed and focused on his death. Also how special is it that she was able to have her dad walk her down the aisle? If she waited until he did, she'd never have that chance. I think that's why Dr.Gu after finding out her dad was dying moved up their plans for the wedding.

The sound doesn't even match her mouth. I cringe every time I see her talk, sometimes dubbing is off but this one they aren't even trying. Also Victor singing is off too.

Romance is very subtle in this one.

It used to be dramas would be self contained (even those with mutli seasons like my fair princess), however recently rules makes it such that a drama could no longer be more than 48 episodes. Some dramas do require more eps to tell the full story so they now need to break it up into seasons. I do wish they would do more like One and Only / Forever and Ever and release one season right after another. I'm preparing myself for a Clif hanger for this one. But at least knowing that there is a second season coming is somewhat of a comfort. Better than some dramas which leaves a cliff hanger that is never resolved...

Ep 12 was such a filler! Can't believe half the ep was wasted on the play.

Didn't have the heart to see her sad and probably missed her too much. He clearly has feelings for her, even though he knew it would be safer for her to stay out at the end of the day I don't think he could bare leaving her be. Just like when he told her to leave the sect after her assassin attempt, he still ended up following her and then rescuing her at the last minute.... As they say it's in Chinese what a torturous love between these two.
